An easy stroll on an entirely wheel-chair accessible boardwalk. Look out for lots of local wildlife, I saw many different species of birds as well as turtles.

the hike is amazing during the dry season and I saw a lot of Black racers and a wonderful amount of different native plants! during the wet season, the cypress domes are amazing to swim in

keep a good lookout for blazes not all easy to find, trail lightly traveled so hard to stay on track

The stroller is not really work well from what I can tell it’s for different sections of maybe 3/4 of a mile each

I really enjoyed this trail. well maintained. lots to see. parking by the hour and I did need more than an hour even though it's relatively short. lots of places to sit or watch and time goes be fast. I'd go back.

Really nice trek on a boardwalk over wetlands.

Went here with friends very fun if you want to go bird watching. Lots of fallen down trees. But there are many types of animal prints in the mud.

This is a must-do. Go early, alligators usually hang by the first stop. I’ve also seen wild pigs and armadillos. The trees are gorgeous.

Beautiful! Saw alligators, turtles, white ibis, many other birds, a cottonmouth snake. Very enjoyable!!

Nice secluded trail. Not very scenic but enjoyed being the only ones. Several people with horses on the horse trail. Partial sun. Ground rooted and uneven. Hiking boots help.

Beautiful and very nicely maintained trails! I love the boardwalks and quiet surroundings. There were a lot of people but it was never loud or obnoxious. Everyone seemed pretty respectful of one another and of the natural beauty of the place. Just what I needed to unwind! I saw quite a few wheelchairs and walkers too, so I’d say it’s accessible to all. There was one section that was closed but I think it’s temporary due to damage done by Hurricane Irma. That didn’t detract from the quality of the experience at all, however. I saw two alligators, lots of turtles, and so many awesome bird species! Check it out!

Great boardwalks that take you through many different areas. Saw anhingas, crocodile, turtles, snakes and many other birds. Very enjoyable!

Description misleading. The 13 mile trail is not for hiking - only by canoe or kayak on the river. Staff gets questioned about this a lot, but knows of no hiking trail. Great for manatee viewing though

I go there frequently and no matter the time of day I always see wildlife. It is shaded so perfect for hot days.

Nice easy walk . Plenty to see birds , alligators and nature. Friendly people.

Loved this boardwalk! Easy walk with lots to see.... gators, turtles, birds. Only complaint is the boardwalk is not very wide so it got a little tricky to maneuver pass wheelchairs.

No dogs? No wonder I don’t live in FL.

This is an awesome Fort Myers Gem! Perfect place to come “stretch” your legs with a nice light walk through nature. There a some great views of different lakes, with plenty of seating areas to view and enjoy. The whole “trail” is on a boardwalk so it is flat, but can be a little slippery when it’s wet. I’ve seen alligators, tons of birds, hogs, squirrels, and turtles here! Closes at dark

There are two very similar areas here. Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve which is much different then the Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve NORTH area. The main slough preserve does have boardwalks, is shaded and has facilities. This is not the case with the North area. Trail is not maintained, infrequent blazes and 50% shade. Much more secluded though. We met one couple at the trail head as we were starting. They turned around and left before leaving the trail head. Visited in late September and of course we slogged through water 50% of the time. Fun for an adventure, but not for the family.

This is a great walkway. It is a board walk way with many look out spots. I saw 3 turtles and a number of butterflies. It is mostly shaded, so it's not too bad in the heat. A very nice place!

Nice walk, wheelchair and stroller accessible. Bathrooms only available at the start of the hike. Don't go during a drought. The water will be very low and dead fish will stink up the pond areas. Otherwise this is a great hike through beautiful Florida foliage.

My husband and I visited this park Aug 2018. Although we didn’t see any wildlife, except two turtles, it was a peaceful and enjoyable nature walk. Mostly all shaded. All wooded boardwalk. Note that no pets allowed and no jogging on boardwalk.

A boardwalk not a trail, nice scenery. However jogging is not permitted.

This trail doesn't exist. The trail system isn't maintained. We walked around the FGCU campus for 3 miles.

Love the trail. Ran with it 3 times. Lots to see beautiful scenery.

Easy walk.

Definitely a trail you need to take your time on. You can walk it in 30+ mins easily but miss some really amazing sites.
