Great place, nice rv Park, pool, fishing pier.

Probably not the official route, but this is a nice at unpaved trail. Will come back to run.

We live so close to this historic site and yet until today had not explored this trail. There’s a lot of history there and I’d advise anyone who wants to hike this short trail to pay attention to the informative plaques on the trail. The trail itself is mainly in good shape. There were a few muddy areas but we’ve had a lot of rain. Toe stumpers abound so watch where you walk. Definitely a hike I’d do again in warmer weather.

Great access to beach and trails nicely groomed

Access road washed out. Can’t get to trail head at all.

Very easy paved trail

Very nice hike. The bridge was open and we got to go up to the Ortega River. Beautiful scenery. Careful on the bridge. It's in need of repair.

I liked this but I don't consider it a moderate trail, it's pretty easy other than some muddy spots. the history is really neat but I wanted more of a challenge this time. this would be great for kids though!

We passed by 3 used condoms on the trail, luckily the kids didn't notice. Lots of birds

The bike ride is worth the look for it. It is not well marked to find at trail head. The path is newly paved, wraps around and under and over roads, gets hilly with little shade. I did glimpes a bear in field were pheasants flew up. Its best to ride in fall and winter.

Nice tree covered in most areas, winding curvy paths. would like to have more painted on the path markers. it's worth the stop and ride!

Good place for a short run. Lightly trafficked and quiet.

Great trail system and info on early residents of the area.

Great trail for Bikes, hiking it is a bit challenging due to length. Its paved so it gets hot. A lot of gators, thats a main attraction. Also great for bird watching. A lot of tourists. If you have an everglades yearly pass you can use it. Bike rentals, guided tours and office with vending machines.

It is very popular.

beautiful park, love the views and an absolute fun running loop!

Very short and easy trail, not much to see.

Great walk with beautiful scenery along the river. It was a very popular spot. Parking was an issue. We will be back.

The trail is NOT closed, you just need to know how to access it.

Love the Scrub. Ran 8 miles in the Scrub

do not hike trail is not open

Great walk. Lots of wildlife.

What a GREAT park! so many trails. great place to feel closed to nature. you can bring your pups for a great walk.

Easy. Across the street from hotels. Older and disabled folks can do this. Not at allchallenging but VERY enjoyable.

The trail itself is a meandering one that’s poorly marked and often overlaps with the disc golf course. There’s a dock that extends out and overlooks a small lake with scenic views and there are plenty of shaded trees to string up a hammock and relax.

It’s not strenuous or even remotely difficult and has facilities so that’s a plus. The downside is the trash in the water and on the trail. If you can ignore the constant sound of airplanes overhead, you’ll enjoy this light outing.

Easy trail but rather boring.

this is hardly a " hike " but there are things to see and do. Gives a good view of one portion of the Crystal River and often you will see numerous types of birds. For newcomers to our area I recommend it, once.

not open closed to public Access

The sign is gone at end of trail telling you when to cut in to beach,it's marked with two sticks with red and green cloth. To make it to beach you actually have to cross a little marsh. Camped at beach in 50 degree weather with a nice breeze, so no mosquitoes. Lots of shells on beach. Definitely doing it again. (Trail map at park doesn't reflect map shown on this app)
