Great hike! Plenty of good views and not too difficult. We didn’t see any, but watch for bears and moose as they are active in the area!

I've done this hike several times. Easy enough for everyone, but still a fun accomplishment. Beautiful view, woods, lake, and wildflowers. That view of Mother Hood is to die for

This trail has been fully cleared and logged out

Pretty steep initally for about 10 to 15 minutes then it becomes a nice moderate incline. Quick hike. took me about half an hour to get to the top. Beauitful views. Lots of cool mushrooms around. Worth it.

It was beautiful the fall colors are peak!

can extend this trail to many other loops and connector trails. less trafficked area of unionmills/hashawa

heavily packed on weekends.

amazing moderate hike with spectacular views of cliffs and narrows. The sculpted sandstone formations are breathtaking.

Access from Rancho Road makes this surprisingly close to central Thousand Oaks. There’s a great combination of shady woods, chaparral-covered hillsides, challenging ridgeline climbs, and route-finding. Watch for meadow muffins from the neighborhood horses.

hiked it with a bunch of teenagers. A great trail to take beginners and those who normally struggle with hiking

Beautiful hike!! I am planning to do it again. So bad I didn’t have this app when I hiked for the first time.

Wide path, rocky in spots, steady uphill. Closer to moderate especially last 1/4 mile. Great view payoffs at Chicken Point. Fairly steady traffic.

We did this hike after climbing Cathedral Rock. Lots of trees, nice path, beautiful river and beautiful views along the way.
We weren't really sure where we were going initially but the trails are well marked and of course All Trails helped too

Just over an hour up and down. the temperature was cool with a little rain so that probably helped a lot, I can't imagine how hot it must get when the temperature is high!
On the way down, we went left - Templeton to Baldwin Loop and it turned into an 11 km hike and a great day in the beautiful mountains of Sedona! highly recommend this hike!

Beautiful, quiet, serene. You can hear and sometimes see the ocean throughout the whole trail. The visitor center has good information and there are many other side trails to explore.

Amazing views! I was hunting 511 and wanted to gain some elevation. The views from the top are incredible. It is one of the tallest points in the valley so once your up you can see for miles. It’s very easy so id make sure you’ve got something else planned in the area

Did this hike to the end of the trail - we are 50+ and probably only in average physical shape!
What a view, totally worth the huffing and puffing!
This is one of the most spectacular views and a great reward for your labor.
Just do it!

We stayed the night in Cedar City after visiting Bryce and Zion. This is the PERFECT hike to end the weekend before heading back to Vegas to fly out. This is a pretty easy hike. There are no markings but you can easily follow the trail. The water follows the trail most of the way so if it’s a fresh rain it may be pretty muddy. Fitbit said we did 4.93 in 3:49 with numerous stops.

So fun! Some parts are steep but there’s a bunch of different paths to go on. And it’s even prettier at night.

MAKE. SURE. YOU. HAVE. A. DISCOVERY. PASS. prior to leaving for this hike. The road to the trailhead is unforgiving if you don’t have a 4x4 vehicle or maybe a Subaru or the like. Upon reaching the trailhead, we noticed the signs requiring a discovery pass, yet there was nowhere to obtain one locally, not even a fee drop box. Luckily, we had just enough cell phone service to obtain one online and leave the info on a piece of paper that we left on the dash. 3 vehicles had tickets on them when we got there. The trail itself is steep and very rocky, so much care must be taken not to break an ankle or fall. Make sure you bring a headlamp if you may end up doing part of it in the dark. The views are INCREDIBLE at the top. Well worth the hassle to get up there. I agree with the hard rating. I have done some tough hikes, and this was taxing, but awesome overall. DO IT.

2018/10/13 Saturday (Hiking Date). Best hike. Very good views (Falls, Lake). It is a rocky trail with lot of stairs. Total of around 7.5 miles. Tip: Visit the lake first as it needs more energy and then cover 0.5 mile trail to Falls on return. Also been there in 2017. Will I go there again? Yes.

Overall this is a great backpacking loop. There is no log book at the trailhead, apparently if you don’t book a site, they don’t know if you’re out there. We started at the overnight lot and hiked to campsite 2 passing campsite 1. The first 3.5-4 are super easy to campsite 1. This took us about an hour and a half. We hung out at the bottom of the gorge for a while as all the waterways were rushing with water after a week of rain. The ascent up the gorge kicked our a$$. This definitely makes the trail a hard trail if you’re doing it with a full pack. Campsite 2 comes at the perfect time and I thought everything was well marked to campsite 2. There are two outhouses at campsite 2 along with a well that we used iodine tablets just to be safe. #3 is the best campsite I would say at campsite 2. From campsite 2 to the overnight lot was overall pretty easy. The reason I rated this a 4/5 was because the trail markings became sparse after hitting the fall creek falls area and especially the nature center. The nature center is under construction and we had to guess where to go. There was also an area where you had to go on the road that wasn’t clear before getting back to the trail. We ended up just taking the road back to the parking lot. Overall a great trail, I would probably pack lighter for that ascent in the gorge as it took almost as long to go that last mile as it did the first 5. Overall my Fitbit said 6.17 miles in 4:15 to campsite 2 then 7.22 miles in 3:57 to the parking lot.

Absolutely incredible. Very challenging. The history behind it makes this trail that much better. Thank you to all our firefighters!

Great trail for sunset but don't wait to late to do the full loop it gets dark fast and it's a rocky trail. Take a headlamp for extra caution.

Great walk with my 8 year old daughter. Stunning views.

Great hike! The views are beautiful due to the 360 degrees. The day we hiked it was a bit slippery so hiking boots were necessary due to extremely large boulders/earth. We got lost a few times due to unclear trail heads. Overall fun day in the woods!
