Nice trail. Very little elevation change. At the Henlopan side, there is a very good raised deck trail, which is almost 1/2 mile long. Saw some birds and a Red Fox! Some benches are placed at various intervals. Do beware on the two observation platforms, there are wooden stops across them. There is an elevation change on both sides. On one of them, this is not obvious.

Quiet, easy hike around the property of Lum's Pond. We enjoyed the quick access from our campsite.

I was pretty excited to find this trail while vacationing at Fenwick Island. But like the other reviews, the bugs made it pretty horrible and unbearable. I'm pretty sure I spent 80% of the time swatting bugs. It's worth noting that I went in mid-August so you might fair a little better another time of year. If not for the bugs it would have been a decent way to kill a couple hours away from the beach community.

Lots of great trails and beautiful scenery

Nice trail that connects with any other trails in the area. It, and others could use the markings refreshed and/or replaced.

While the birding and views are incredible, the bugs are AWFUL. I expected (and really wanted) more trails but walked along the gravel road for a while, instead. When my dog and I got back to my car, I found 4 ticks on me and over 30 ticks on my dog. I highly suggest just going here for a scenic drive (it is worth going to see), an in-your-car picnic, or make sure you put some oregano or grapefruit and peppermint essential oil on you to repel ticks and mosquitos if you get out to walk around.

While the trail was a little shorter than I would have liked, I enjoyed the elevation (according to my iPhone, the path elevation is about that of 11 stories) and it still took about 2 hours to hike the whole thing (that was with a lot of pauses for water and rest for my old dog). I loved that I couldn’t hear any traffic (something that I look for in a good trail) and that water crossed the path several times. It was really clean, too! The small valleys covered in little yellow flowers with a perfect spread of trees and a great combination of shade and sunlight was the topping on the cake!

Nice trail....but we went across the street instead of turning around and made it into a 5.5 mile hike. Highly suggest keep going rather then turning around and going back to the start

Nice park and lots of hiking to do there. Would definitely go back and hike the other trails at this park. There are other activities to do there besides just hiking. Disc golf, GoApe zip lining.

Fantastic views and very well marked and maintained trails. Just gorgeous!

I really enjoy walking on this trail

Nice and safe

It's an average run of the mill trail.

Nothing to see and no particular memorable sights along the way.

If you're looking for a casual walk this is a decent enough place.

First time to the trail, but it won’t be my last! Enjoyed the quietness, the sights, the bridges and the length of the Lenape Loop was perfect for me, my husband and dog. We’ll be back and will try the other trails also.

Great trail a bit windy

Took my kids lots of cool things to see during the hike from nature to ruins of old houses.

Wish the trails were a little better marked

Easy level trail. We brought our cat and she had no problems. Would be great for a trail run

Little to short but beautiful views.

I really liked this trail. Good distance if you don’t have all day. Nice hill workout. Nice views through beautiful horse country. Easy to follow.

trail running

I wouldn’t call it trail running but I run this loop almost everyday in the warmer months it’s a really nice loop if you’re looking to run someplace and want more than just houses and cars to look at :)

Pretty much echo what others have said-weird location, nice view of the river, all paved and a flat weird loop. Probably wouldn’t do it again. I’m new to Delaware and wanted to try some different hiking spots, this is definitely not hiking but it’d be fine if you were just walking around especially with kids. They have little grills and picnic tables too

This app is directing you on to private property. It then takes you onto City of Wilmington property that is posted as no trespassing and is patrolled by security.

This trail was quite popular for good reason. Sun coming through the pines was breath taking. I made a note of the private camp sites. Beware! Port a Johns are a distance and water even further. Backpacking with a car! Sounds good to me. Longer trail and tent on list for the future. Bottom line, worth the drive from Wilmington!

Visit often. Close to my house, nice hike.

Love it, just have problems with lines on bridge, makes me dizzy.

A very nicely maintained state high point. Nothing too special about the area, but also gives an excuse to visit Wilmington, Delaware. High point is easily accessible and you can literally park right across the street.

Love these trials. Not too far away from my house and my puppies love it too.

Fun and a nice workout.
