Great trail... nice mix of hills and flat stretches. I would be cautious after major rain as it will be muddy.

Half of it is a loop, half is an out and back.

Went on Hidden Pond Trail which overlays most of this trail. Great for families and young kids will not have a problem. Well maintained, under forest canopy 95% of the hike so great on hot sunny days. Back section parallels Brandywine Creek with numerous access points.

Decent trail. There’s a fee, pay if you want. Take the route close to the creek for great views and nice breeze.

Some of the larger trails in this park were for horses and are very wide. It’s a very relaxing environment with a small lake. Lots of trees surround lake. We Rode our bikes on these trails.

Nice loop trail mostly along the edge of the creek. A little muddy and overgrown in places but not bad. The $8 entrance fee for non-DE residents will keep me from returning as there are better free options in PA.

Trail was nice, some hills. Signs marking it seemed quite different from this map. We got off this map several times even while following the blue Rocky Run signs. As long as you have your phone or a good sense of direction (walk downhill to the river) you’ll be fine but may not replicate the path marked here. We saw plenty of people on a Sunday morning but still pleasant and not overcrowded. If you park in the lot on Thompson’s Bridge Road, DE residents pay $4, out of state pay $8. Bring exact change.

The trail is paved the entire way with hedges or trees on both sides, it goes pass the marshes, and then connects to the Delaware river front. It is a great trail to skate board, bike, or run. I biked from route 9 in New Castle county to the trail and back for about 25-30 miles.

A very good treck. No markings for the trail though. Had a great experience.

Literally parked on the side of the road, walked 100 feet for my picture in front of the sign, walked 100 feet back to my car, and kept going. The only reason to come here is to check off the Delaware state highpoint. I'll add that there is a geodetic marker next to the sidewalk to the left of the sign as you face it if you want your picture with that instead of the sign.

Paved and flat with very little that could be called scenic for 14 miles. According to the signs it used to be called the something Industrial trail before it was the Jack Markell trail. You go under highway overpasses with god knows what dripping from the ceiling. Then you go past some waste or manufacturing plant that smells god awful. The only parts that are remotely nice are the beginning at the Riverfront and the end with Battery Park. A boring disaster is everything in-between.

Nice trail for where it is. Short but sweet and can link to the paved Delaware greenway trail if you want to extend. Very green, well marked but intersects with some mountain biking so that can be a bit alarming at times. River intersection has construction on both sides which is why I gave it 3 stars, it detracts from the trail itself. But overall if you’re looking for a nearby quick outing it’s decent. or a spot to sit and just be, the lower section on the green belt has a few benches on the river by a rock wall that looks on a short field of green and is peaceful.

We took the Hidden Pond trail, which goes along this trail. Nice walk through the woods and along the river. Can be muddy in spots. Periods of rocky path, then flat grass/dirt. Some remnants of old structures. Nice family hike.

Beautiful location; however, there is an $8.00 fee for out of state visitors, $4.00 for locals.

I enjoyed the hike. It was not too difficult. I didn’t see many trail markers so I kind of just went all over the place. Decent views and I didn’t really run into many people while out on the trails.

Very peaceful for the most part. More traffic than I expected, including families with kids and dogs off leash. Very enjoyable.

trails signs got a little confusing at the loop becuase other trails corssed over it

Decent walk. Not very natural. All paved. The kiosks every half mile or so are neat.
