Rolling hills, wildflowers and birds, woods and fields. I was charmed by this hike. We ended up going off the trail that the map here shows, but ended up completing a 5.8 mile loop, using the app. We had to Ford a stream. It was muddy and a little buggy. Still, gorgeous and a pastoral delight. I will definitely be back. Note: there are a lot of small offshoot trail. It was confusing, even with the map downloaded. Luckily, there is pretty good cell reception on this trail, so we were able to record our movements and figure out where we were.

Paved loop around a reservoir. First 1/4 mile is up to reach the loop. Paved trail. No tree cover, so can be brutal on hot days. Nice, pleasant walk we have taken with our kids. Good family walk as is stroller friendly.

This is know as the Twin Valley Trail locally and by the Park. Very nice trail with modest elevation changes, a couple of creek crossings, and some nice views. Great family hike. My wife and I have done it with a two and a half year old and one year old strapped to our backs. Our now four year old had walked most of it on her own two feet. Most of it is under tree cover so a good hot weather hike.
Plus, you get the Arc monument, so an interesting bit of history/geography thrown in.

I love this trail. It is poorly marked in a few spots. The wooded sections are cool and scenic. It is an awesome way to tour the largest pond in Delaware!

Lots of terrain options.

First hike with my 3 and 5yo. They did pretty well. I didn't do the full trail. Kids enjoyed where I could get their water shoes out and they played in a ankle deep stream for about 20 mins. They were also very distracted trying to pet all the dogs we passed.

Paved loop trail. $4 to park $8 for out of state (DE). I like this walking path because you can take children and they can go off biking or scootering and you don't have to worry about them because no matter which path you take it loops back to the parking area. This is a new trail opened late 2017.

This park is well paved and in good shape. The views of the river and boats is a nice to see. Yes, the park is close to the Amtrak and interstate and there is some noise but what do you expect, this isn’t in a national park. The land is a capped dumped site. Good use for land that is basically unusable otherwise.

Really nicely marked trails. Fun run

Nice trail, shaded about 90% of the way. Could be better marked in spots. Flat most of the way, with a fair number of tree roots to navigate. Good trail for beginner mountain bikers.

Awesome waterfall along the way! Easy to walk and dog friendly! It was hard to find parking close so you will have to do a little extra walking. My friend and I had a great time!

We love pet-friendly Glasgow Park, six miles south of Newark, in the town of Glasgow. There are the red-lined trials, but there also the back trails on the north side of the Park that are are more wooded. Our favorite is the loop on the northeast side of the Park with lots of native loblolly pine, some of which are very tall.

Nice, clean and peaceful.

We enjoyed the lovely scenery and challenging elevation. Even though it was shorter than we usually hike, we both got a good workout. If you want to get a nice view of the waterfall you will need to take about a .2 mile detour, but well worth the extra steps.

this is my go to trail. its easy enough to walk, but can be jogged on quite comfortably in most places.

My husband and I just rode this trail 2 times this weekend. We recommend bringing your own bike or renting from Atlantic cycles in Rehobeth for the ride. They have great prices and nice bikes! This trail will definitely give you a nice workout! Beautiful trail!

The fallen logs had been neatly placed off the trail and two people were working on parts of the trail today. They were friendly. This was a nice trail with a lot of variety. My Golden loves it too!

Hilly, very bucolic. You spend about equal time in the middle of a forest and in bucolic scenery with pastured horses, corn fields and small farm houses. Fairly heavily traveled, we saw one group of horseback riders, several (3-4) individual mountain bikers, a couple trail runners and a few other hikers- though it is a beautiful Saturday. While not well marked, it is pretty easy to figure out where to go. I parked at 289 Ramsey Rd, Wilmington, DE 19803 ("Woodlawn Parking Lot"), and crossed the road to make it a longer hike. Hilly but not challenging, but a lot of sun due to infrequent forest coverage. Don't think I will do it again, but am not displeased with the experience.

It was a beautiful day and the trails are well-kept. My dog and I loved it!

This is a well marked path that is shared with cyclists too. It goes past several World War II structures and offers a lot of variety in terrain. Don't forget your bug spray!

We have walked here and biked several times. The biking was a little rough as the trail up is hard and many people to avoid and pass. We walk here a lot and go sit by the water. It’s a nice safe peaceful walk. The construction has the parking messed up but it’s worth a trip very nice

This little trail is all paved and A very odd location. You have a view of the river and ships coming in which is cool however the other side is the highway. Not very clean but a small paved loop we used to teach our kid on his bike.

It's a 1.8 loop around the reservoir, but that did not include the long incline you need to walk to get there.
If you walk the pavement up the hill and don't take the grassy shortcuts turning left will get you a 2.0 mile walk, If you take the path straight or to the right it's a 2.2 mile walk.
There are lots of benches on the way up and on the top, and don't forget the suntan lotion on the sunny days.
This is my favorite walking trail, because the water reminds me of my boating days as a kid, and the view of Newark especially when the train goes through the town of Newark it reminds me of a train model store but in real life, because you are so high above the city.
Go you won't be disappointed!

Well marked highpoint. Its in the middle of a neighborhood so parking is hard to find in the area. USGS marker is also not easy to find. Best way to find it is to just continue towards th firetower after you get to the official sign designating the high point (its hidden in the dirt). In general, people around the area are very nice and are willing to help you if you're lost

So close but yet so far from reality. Nice place to get lost

Such pretty scenery.

This trail is very hilly but beautiful. I recommend bringing water because it is challenging. It is a nice workout and over all a nice trail.

Short and sweet loop. Great boardwalk trail. Definitely bring bug spray..
