Really fun trail. Not for people looking for paved flat ground, lot of rocky airways. The trails are NOT marked well, be careful!

definitely a rocky run with a nice incline. eventually it flattens out and declines to a rocky stream

Nice walk through sandy floored pine forest. Recommend parking over near Herring Point and picking up the trail from there, unless you're actually staying in the camp ground.

Great trail- river views, small creek crossings and a little up and down hill. My pup and I enjoyed it! Note: park does not open till 8 am. For early risers like myself- that is a hinderance.

Trail is not marked very well. The app directions are decent, but you may get turned around. The parking lot on Rockland rd is usually packed. We walked from the pavilion parking lot in brandywine creek state park which adds about another mile or so, but worth it. The trail itself is great. Mainly wooded with a couple creek crossings, it also has some open fields and horses to view. Enjoy

Great cemented trail for walking, running, or biking! Also includes elevations.

This is an excellent area for walking and sight seeing. They have really improved the trail conditions with many improvements added over the last few years. Theses include new “boardwalks/bridges over wet areas (including the main tidal marsh area). This makes the loop trails passable even during high tide and heavy rains. Besides the main trails (Seahorse & Seahorse), there are several “connector” trails dissecting the camping areas which adds multiple route options and added distance. Birding here during migration is very good (Warblers are common) as are many other species (grosbeaks, tohees, wood-pewees, indigo buntings today name a few). A great find, but you need to be aware of the ticks (as with most hiking areas), but if you stay on the trails, that shouldn’t be a problem. Best times are spring and fall, as summer has limitations due to the amount of campers there. Al-in-all, a great place to see many facets nature had to offer while getting a decent hike in.

Beautiful trail! Good place to bring your dog so long as you’ve got a leash.

Got a little off trail around the river crossing but otherwise had a good time. Not sure if the trail changed and may need to be updated. Lovely weather and most people are wearing masks when crossing our path. Signs posted at the front require masks.

It poured the day prior so it was a bit muddy, but that’s what the outdoors is. Three bikers, none with masks, but all hikers we passed had them. This is beautiful in the spring after a rain.

Great trail. Yes there are some hills in Delaware. Haha. Easy trail, good for everyone young and old. This trail is shared by walkers, hikers, runners and biking. Keep little ones in tow watching for bikes. There are a few creeks your dog can drink from. Take a water bottle along. Enjoy

Great Trail. It is an easy walk. I am overweight and trying to get more active so it was perfect for me. It was muddy at times and the sand was hard to walk on for me due to my foot problem. The sand and mud is only on a short amount of the trail. Great views and trees. It was neat to go through the different landscapes, the bay, Marsh, forest, etc. Half the trail is shaded. Parking could be an issue if busy.

It’s been a few years since I’ve been to this part of the preserve. I’d forgotten how much I love hiking here! I started at the PennDel parking lot and made an 8 mile loop around the west and east side of the creek. Wonderful day!

Great trail along the river. There is a small portion you’ll have to cross a windy road, cars are driving fast.

Pretty hike. This trail doesn’t match what the park has marked. Many split offs that not marked. Overall pretty hike near the water. Some small waterfalls. A lot long we than three miles. We went off the trail a little. This app recorded us at 4.1 miles my phone recorded at 5.66. Takes a couple hours

beautiful trail with gorgeous trees overhanging with clear path and dog friendly terrain.

Can get confusing in the woods. But still very beautiful out near the water.
