A fun and easy loop with added interest from bridges and river views. Plus there’s a beautifully tended rose garden. A bonus.

A beautiful trail with great trails but didn’t have good signage so it’s necessary to bring a picture of the map

Okay small trail. Surprisingly dry after last night's rain. Very poor gps signal.

Lots of overgrowth Not super clear trail markers and lots of side trails. Went on a late Sunday afternoon and the trails were very quiet and didn’t pass one person but the park and pavilions were packed with 40+ people for a party

Not super busy but definitely filled with bugs. Lots of unmarked cuts throughout and thought we were going in circles for a portion. Will wait to visit again until the fall.

Trail was okay, but I moist enough ridden through 100 spider webs. Maybe it was because I was the first on the trail today.

You do not need a membership or even to pay admission to walk at Winterthur. Not sure what the previous reviewer is talking about because I’ve simply driven in several times in the past couple of months and parked in the lot near the visitors center. It’s always a lovely and peaceful place, in any season, and the Enchanted Gardens make me nostalgic for my kids’ childhoods. Sweeping views of the Brandywine Valley and glorious trees.

Great trails! I read about a lot of people saying the trail wasn’t marked well... wondering if perhaps it has improved since? Fortunately we didn’t have any issues finding the trail markers. Lots of shade so it was manageable in high temperatures, made such a difference. We will definitely be returning again - I saw a nice bouldering section I’d like to try out!!

My ONLY complain is the lack of directional markers on the trail. If you have all day to get lost and explore trails till you understand the layout it’s a blast. Lots of flowy sections. The trails I explored were moderate and have some obstacles and jumps, but judging by the bike racks in the parking lot and that I didn’t see many in the trail, I was probably on the less desirable trails. I’ll be back. Brandon Hohrein Realtor, Cyclist Brandon@thehohreingroup.com

Lots of shade. Didn’t have a problem with bugs. Nice trails. Pretty. Lots of tables for a picnic and portable bathrooms. Looks like it has camping sites

Great trail for anyone. Well shaded throughout. Nature Center and Boat Rental are along the trail. Small stretch goes out on the road and terminates at a small dam. Fun and relatively flat little hike.

Would have loved to walk this trail. But even with bug spray, the bugs were overwhelming. Will try this trail again when colder weather is here.

pretty consistent terrain with plenty of turn off options. primarily in the shade. not the most scenic, mainly just woods. but there is a little creek and waterfall about halfway, and we saw a chipmunk and a deer. lots of bugs though (maybe because we went at high noon on hot July day though). watch out for mountain bikers who like to speed aroun the narrow path!

My go-to spot for a baby hike and a paved trail. Today was incredibly hot and combined with lots and lots of bugs, overgrown grass and trails, and tons of people. Saw on the map a new trail I’ve never been at before so I will be checking that out for sure. Best in fall, winter, spring. Summer with some marshlands is a lot.
