Love it, just have problems with lines on bridge, makes me dizzy.

This trail is very easy and flat. I recommend it for all ages because it is very easy it is a nice walk.

This is a great hike especially in the fall. It is challenging enough for a afternoon walk. This is a good hike for all ages because there is a playground. I have also biked this trail and it is very nice around the lake. I also recommend stoping to see the island trail it is really neat.

Nice trail anytime! Can be hot in summer months as not much shade, but great views of WWII Towers. Connect with Junction Breakwater Trail for nice 16 mike loop to Rehoboth and Lewes.

Love this trail. Great walk to clear the mind. Only met a few people along the way.

Great trail. 2.7 miles from parking at Herring Point to pavilion at Gordon’s Pond. Nice trail with short boardwalk over marsh. You can just reverse and go back or do the shorter return along the beach. Fantastic hike!! Lots of MAMILs. Middle aged men in Lycra who do not share the road well. Sometimes rude and dangerous behavior.

Me and Elliott

Never crowded on weekdays and the fall foliage is one of the best on Delmarva.

Beautiful trail for both walking and biking!

Nice flat trail for easy bike ride or a run off the road to enjoy some nature. Nice walking for pets & kiddos as well. Crushed gravel & also sandy path that goes to a small "secret beach", past an old abandoned barn then back to parking lot. At the bridges that cross water, try to stay quiet as you approach to see the Egrets and Herons that are usually present fishing :) Deer and Turkey are always around as well if you keep an eye out for them.

Flat but pretty. Buggy but fun. EASY. Great for all levels
west side of long loop less crowded

Very enjoyable ride on the bike,
I would recommend for all levels of experience.

Connects to the Gordon Pond Trail, World War 11 history and great views.

Great views, best biking trail we have done to date! nature and a history lesson also

Perfect walk/run along a paved path with water views

Easy trail. Flat and well marked - would be great for X-Country running.

Bob trail is an excellent bike trail... very few tree roots... crushed gravel path ... no crowds on weekday. Met one other biker the whole time... no hikers at all ... did 2 laps

Nice flat and mostly shaded trail with scenic views of the pond. Bugs were slightly annoying, make sure you bring plenty of bug spray! We saw several deer and enjoyed hearing the song birds.

Super simple all flat trail. The first mile or so was on graveI and it smelt great with all the pine trees around. I definitely recommend bug spray for this, as I was getting attacked all over, especially near the canal. To my surprise I got to see an old abandoned barn. Took me about 30 minutes to get here from 30th st. in Ocean CIty, MD. I think this trail would be best suited for a bike ride or a jog. Plan on going back in the fall to see how it is then.

Nice gravel trail with the kids. Saw deer in the marsh. Good trail for bikes.

nice aerial view of Newark and area. Near pump house you can see Delaware Memorial bridge towers. Also get mix of animals mostly Mallards and Canadian Geese. Spring time there are plenty of baby chicks!

Beautiful trail around the pond. Gorgeous autumn colors. Easy to walk. Nice for camping, kayak, picnic or just enjoy reading a book. We will come back.

A nice mix of water and woods. This trail was a joy although way too short.

A nice walk into the marshland. Starting from wildlife drive, the trail crosses a few hundred feet of boardwalk before hitting dry land. Then the trail splits into a loop, following waters edge first on the left trail and looping back through a more wooded trail.

This trail doesn't really lead you to any of the docks to directly overlook the lake. You have to figure out how to do that on your own if you want more views than going through the woods. The trail is well kept and flat, but difficult to ride a bike at a decent pace because of all the people walking. This is one of the few trails at this park, so it's no surprise that it's the most popular.

If you are trying to avoid the crowds you can take a kayak in and see a lot more of the lake. I have uploaded 4 photos of my shots from the kayak. The cypresses growing out of the water in bunches and lily pads make for some really awesome scenery. I also saw a bunch of turtles hanging out on fallen trees.

The boat launch parking lot doesn't have a fee collector station, so you may be able to park there without paying. You could always park elsewhere and then ride a bike in to avoid the fee. I personally have a problem paying a fee especially when out of state patrons get charged more and I don't litter or use the restroom facilities.
