This trail was nice and scenic, good for our dog - although she did get incredibly muddy. Luckily, the lake is nearby to rinse off!

Great birds and herps, but the bugs were truly awful.

Half decent. Bike ruts throughout the length of every trail. There’s not much to look at, and not much elevation gain. However... for Delaware it’s not bad. When it’s not so muddy I’ll consider running or biking it instead.

This was a very nice trail. Started out early in 23 degree temp. We passed a couple on horses, a biker, a runner and another hiker. Very quiet and open trail. It was easy with some hills but the views were nice. The paths were open and easy to follow. Parking was plenty when we got there but by the time we finished it was full. I will definitely do this trail again.

This is a great local hike. You can add smaller connecting trails to lengthen the hike.

Blustery cold day but a great trail run for sure. Friendly walkers and pups too. Views were great and peaceful

We hike here often because it’s proximity. Trails are well marked. We always see other hikers. Currently the trail is flooded in some areas due to the crazy amount of rain. Definitely need waterproof boots but worth the trouble to be out in nature.

Trail was in good condition other than a few spots where it was a little muddy (to be expected with the amount of rain we have had here). Myself and my Lab did this hike to test out our backpacking load and we’re very satisfied with the trail. Though the weather was ~48-50 degrees and overcast with periods of light rain, there were still around 10 people we encountered on the trail.

Quiet and Empty

We really enjoyed this trail. It is incredible to think of how there used to be an amusement park in that location. We loved going from sign to sign to read about the history and see the pictures. The hill down and up to the trail is very steep and uneven. The trail along the water is crushed gravel and easy to walk along. There are train tracks near the loop part of the trail. We will definitely come again.

I saw a fair amount of wildlife when I walked this trail. This trail can be combined with some other easy adjacent trails to make a fairly long looping route.

Not sure about the trail itself but we parked and noticed every other car parked in the lot had a man just sitting in there car. Either a popular spot for drug deals or some weird meet up place? Either way we were sketched out and left.

We walk this trail often. It's possible to extend the mileage by about .5 miles by adding the small side trails that branch off. Pretty scenic trail through the woods. Follows the bike path closely in spots, and travels through the campground. Small hills (DE doesn't really have hills but for the purposes of this review....) and nice views of the pond. The trail does traverse through the cabin area, actually right through the middle, so that can be annoying during popular months. Other than that, it's a decent trail!

Great trail. Wide path all the way to main bridge. Beautiful area. Right next to the river and low traffic.

Great, well lit paved 1.75 mile trail loop for walking or running. Great option for running in the dark during the winter months.

Very nice park and trail. The trail is not well marked but it really is a paved trail through an old estate. The Mansion has some interesting architecture. Walks in late fall early winter are so nice. Insect world is not as active

Very nice trail. It’s fully paved. I prefer walking on dirt. Still, the nature and scenery is nice. It’s perfect for runners who want to be in the woods but want the stability of pavement. Not sure why it’s listed as a loop trail.... it’s out and back.

Perfect early morning walk with my dog.

walked part of it on a cold Thanksgiving weekend. beautiful

It was okay. Was a little confused with the route so I made my own and this app definitely helped. Next time I plan to actually hike the mapped out route.

Great hike with lots of fun views. We took our 5 year old son and our dog. Trail was relatively easy but had enough obstacles that our son felt like he accomplished something. Rock climbing wall was really cool and seemed pretty easy to climb. We ended up finding our own trail and ended up hiking 2.5 miles in about 1.5 hours.

This is, as others stated, a very difficult trail to follow. The markings are ridiculously absent and the map offered at the trailhead is completely useless. However, there are a couple decently moderate hills that are available to climb, but they are definitely off-trail. Wear boots- not shoes- in the fall as the leaves cleverly hide many rocks/roots and there are TONS of hidden muddy spots. Was a pretty walk through the woods, but would have been much, much better if we didn’t have to stop every so often to check the AllTrails map.

Half the trail is closed for hunters. Really inconvenient!

This trail follows 2 creeks, Rocky Run and Hurricane Run. As you walk besides these two creeks you will find small waterfalls and unique rock outcroppings on which lush green moss grows. The creeks are also very clean and clear which adds to the beauty of the place. This trail is somewhat hilly but I would recommend it to almost anyone. This trail is one of my personal favorites and I will certainly hike it again.

Really nice trail! Take my pups frequently.

Lovely walk for a crisp sunny day in Fall.

Easy trail that leads to awesome rock climbing area with a view of a waterfall. The parking situation is a little weird, but its well worth it for a short hike with great views.

I love this park and trail. It's easy to forget you're right in town. Like others have mentioned it can get a bit crowded for my taste when the weather is nice. Part of this is due to the park being a hotspot for Pokemon Go, which I play myself. Didn't realize there were always groups or cars parked in certain areas for this reason until I started playing. There is a paved path that goes around the edge of the park and then some gravel trails if you venture into the trees. We stay out of the trails in the woods all Summer because the bugs are too much for us and there are a lot of washed out spots that retain water the whole Summer.

As others mentioned, paths are not very well marked. However I kinda like this. Just grab one of the paper maps at the trail head, and follow the disc golf holes, you won’t get lost. Very light traffic and tons of path options make it an enjoyable spot.
