Nice for a day ride! It is now longer than what is listed here.

Went on the red trail around the pond with my 9 yr old . Was nice and easy and still long enough to feel like a good walk

Make sure and read reviews, a short (~1 mike) trip from trail end to car. Was a pretty hike, very easy going.

Great hike and took a full grocery bag of trash of the trail.

walk this trail often. love it.

A lot of tree roots
but we love it

While i hike a portion of this trail regularly locals have informed me that hunters cameras in the last 6 weeks have caught images of a Mountain Lion and have told me to excercise extreme caution while in the area and to not get on the trail after sunset.

Great hike from Camp Sloper to Castle Craig!

Very rocky, a bit confusing, and the end of the trail comes out to an extremely busy and windy main road, in which you have to walk back about a mile to the main entrance. This was a one and done.

Nice trail, with nice lake view at the top.

parking is good, trails are well marked. easy up and down.

Camp Sloper is a great outdoor space. You can loop around the pond walking / running or bike riding. Or you can take the black trail up to the top with new views. Beware you will need to do some minor rock climbing.

This is a great paved path for walking / biking. It's usually quite crowded but it's flat and straight and goes quick. You can even stop along the way downtown for food or ice cream.

Overgrown and not well maintained

took the orange/blue --> orange loop. bit of a rocky incline to start. rocky parts at peak were fun! peak view was underwhelming.

The walk takes you back on Ledge Road, which is winding, narrow without a good shoulder, with a lot of cars. Not too pleasant.

dark and recently flooded so pretty wet on the lower trail .. nice if I was around to fish .. but for a walk average, nothing special

Nice little hike. Views are great and scenery is wonderful, fairly rocky. Hiked the south end of the Metacomet trail and some goes off park property. Loop around lake is really nice, lots of roots and not very rocky.

I'm an experienced hiker and nothing was difficult about the trails. Saw a few mountain bikers and it was bow season as well. Trails are well marked until you find yourself off park property and then there are small orange tags on trees that alert you.

Overall would recommend exploring these trails, you won't be disappointed.

Easiest way to get to white rock is drive to end of Ciccio rd and there is a trail to white rock. I grew up in that area, have not been up there in such a long time. The rock is just above that area, so if you were coming from roaring brook and the falls, you can just walk pass the reservoir and try to find it. It may be tough though, its kindof hidden as i remember. And its pretty far. It is such a great place though!

Very nice hike, need to try it again so we don't get caught coming out of the woods in the dark

How exactly do you get to the ridge? More specifically "white rock"?

I loved every second of it! It wasn't "hard" but I only did the red trail.... I'm definitely going again. I can't wait

I would rate this easy to moderate definitely not hard. nice scenery but last part is on road which I wasn't crazy about

This was a great trail with lots of options and trails to take. Although it doesn't look like it on the app, This did loop around. Great incline, not extreme but just enough to get a really good workout. There are some sections with lots of rocks. Would def do again

Did a good quick 12 miles today. I enjoyed the trail, it was well marked, gave me some nice views, and a couple little challenging up and downs. Look forward to some more time on the Tunxis trail.

Love this trail and the view

Overall, the hike was amazing. However, there were a few minor inconvieneces. Firstly the park was farther down the road than the GPS said it was, I just had to drive further down the road to the end. The map showed all the trails, but it was small and hard to see. Despite this, when I got on the trail the paths were easy to follow and see. There were rocks and a few cliffs, and at the top of the peak there was a stunning view of Cresent Lake.
