Lovely nature center with a variety of different trails. This route includes the raptor aviaries, where a number of interesting birds are on view, including hawks, an eagle, a peregrine falcon and several types of owls. The route continues along the Fern Trail, which goes along the north end of Ford Pond and includes a blind with benches for bird watching. It then follows the Hendrickson Bog Meadow trail through woodlands and slightly uphill to Bog Meadow Pond. This area was somewhat overgrown and buggy in the early summer, so bring bug spray! Finally, the Oak Trail takes you back down again toward the visitor center, past some lovely gardens. The visitor center itself is worth a peek, with several types of turtles and snakes on view.
