Great for trail running!l Loop is 4.5 miles. This is a gravel trail for the most part. Follow signs to Bluff Point to Sunset Rock to Mumford Cove. You will love the views too!

Easy trail with the dog. About 10 minutes in there was a bug attached to his face. Might’ve been a tick but we managed to get it off. One side is fairly muddy and wet but the other side is dry and has a nice clearing of the reservoir.

walk this trail often. love it.

Perfect spot for a run!

I don’t know if it is supposed to be a secret to be discovered on your own once you get here, because two minutes into my walk I realized that the green grass and trees around me was a run down golf course and I was walking on a cart path. I have not seen anyone mention this on any of the posts. It was a good walk with enough hills to stretch the legs.

I think some of these reviewers are talking about Ross Pond not Ross Marsh which are very different. Ross Marsh has little parking and a very short trail.

Path was rocky and easy to turn an ankle on but beautiful view at the midway loop. Definitely would run here again!

Easy hike, beautiful views, lots of people but not too crowded

I ride my bike here all the time! Great rail path for biking, running, snowshoeing, and strollin’. Great scenery all around you, and cool off-shoots into the Valley Falls Park trails. It can be high traffic around the parking lot areas, but there’s nice quiet stretches in between.

This is my favorite hike!!!

First time here - we (my puppy and I) loved it!

Super scenic, paved and Unpaved options. Deer, woodpeckers.

Nice walking trail

Really nice park, expect it to be very busy on nice weather days and long weekends in the summer months

Great walk. Beautiful scenery most of the way. A little less so towards the end, but all around a great trail. Easy parking too.

Beautiful easy stroll along the river.

Hiked on 11/4/17. Beautiful Fall day. Parked at the boat ramp and headed north along the east side of the lake and completed the entire loop which was 7.8 miles on my tracker. Some really nice sections. Not much elevation change. Loved the ridge on the northeast section of the lake. Nice valley/gully type section with standing water and willows in the northwest section while I was heading backed south. There was a short road section at the north end of the lake to cut across before heading back south. Some great river views. Saw a few hunters and heard many shots. The disc golf course near the boat ramp section looked cool. Worth the 1 hour and 15 min drive!

Nice little loop trails, well marked, great little patch of woods and nature for where it is.
Never done the loop all the way around, but both sides of the lake offer various trails from single wide paths to old roads.

Very easy walk. Truly a beautiful path especially around the fall season.

Excellent trail on Autumn day. slight ups and downs, no big deal

I come here often and enjoy it. It is easy, but the scenery views are beautiful, especially when walking along the water. I also have incorporated rock climbing. When you find the right ones you can climb!! Also, there are trails that connect to Haley Brook Farm/Mumford Cove, so it makes it a much longer walk! You just need to know your way around, but markers are easy to follow and read!

easy family friendly trail but heavy traffic.

The map incorrectly labels the trail, about half the trail shown in red is actually the continuation of the Monroe stretch. The Newtown trail begins approximately 3/4 Mile from Pepper Street where the trail narrows to a single user trail.

Worth it for the views, but kind of a tedious walk out. I was envying the bike riders.

It’s easy walking trail..

Started at the Vernon side of the trail this time. Awesome ride!

What a great flat trail that is a full oval.

Comfortable and easy walking trail, great for kids. Unfortunately popular with horseback riders, so the nicest days mean dodging piles of manure. Otherwise nice, some nice historic sites and lovely view from the bluff.
