One of my favorite spots in SECT. Nice easy trail, beautiful views from the bluff.

Blue/Yellow trail- Steep climb, worth every second for the view.

Great easy walk for dogs lots of benches for rest

A lot of ups and downs. Definitely some parts that require a little scrambling or butt-sliding if you don't feel confident walking down rocky slopes. Not too busy either; small parking lot on the north side with a handful of cars. Unfortunately, lots of broken glass and litter (including fire works, plastic bottles) and graffiti at the top with some questionable wording... also the railing at the peak needs some work, but not a big deal. Great view at the top and got some good exercise. Not a bad time at all.

Beautiful water views

Great walk! Actually got 4 miles in by looping around the lake.

Good easy walk. No steep inclines or descents. Excellent for leisurely walkers or baby strollers. The canal/river makes for some pretty views.

Loved this trail. Very well maintained. Used a stroller for the whole loop with only a little difficulty at times but nothing impassible. A lot of points to step off and see a lot of neat areas. Great for kids as well

Not much there is to see but perfect for a jog or walk.

Super pretty and such an easy trail! One of our favorites

Ideal for point A-B trail runs. Hoping it lives up to its name and I spot some wild hops.

Bluff Point is a wonderful trail that leads you out to views of Fishers Island and Long Island Sound. The beach makes for an adequate swim day, and the second half of the loop is steep enough to burn off lunch.

Gorgeous, well-maintained, perfect for either walking with a group, riding a bike, or taking a jog by yourself

Been here more times than I can count-there are endless little trails and off-shoots to explore. I generally park in the little dirt lot across from the boat launch parking area. From there I hop onto the Nipmuck Trail and loop around, and then sometimes tack on the Breakneck Pond loop afterward. Great place to take my dog. It is my quiet, peaceful happy place. A nice and easy hike to clear my mind.

had a wonderful walk. great for bikes or walking. bring big spray though.

easily accessible heavily trafficked trail. If you go right at the fork in the beginning along the water, theres many places to grab a quiet spot of beach to your self :)

We walked, but we'll be back with bikes soon, and snowshoes later.

i come here with my dogs all the time, love the trails only negative is there is trash laying around in the more wooded areas. the dogs love the lake!

Very easy, flat trail. Enjoyable for an easy and pretty walk.

Parked at the address of the trail head that is proved! Hiked on the white trail to the blue trail (Breakneck Pond Trail). Important note that the blue markers of the Breakneck Pond Trail are being updated to a blue red marker (3 horizontal stripes blue red blue). There are signs for the marker changes, but not until later on the trail. Due to this confusion I stayed on the white trail longer and accidentally came across the blue Breakneck Pond Trail. If you do the Breakneck Pond Trail counter clock wise I thought it had more uphills than if you were to do it clock wise. I thought the rating of moderate was fair. There are parts of the trail that require rock hoping, walking over rocks to pass thru creaks, and walking on thin log bridges. Enjoyed my hike! While on the Breakneck Pond Trail there is a view of the lake a majority of the time. If you visit during the off season, there is no charge for parking. Went the weekend before Memorial Day and there was no charge.

Great place to walk or run. Very well maintained. Follow the blue blazes and hike to Heublien Tower via the Metacomet trail! Can be muddy if you choose this route.

Easy walking around the main loop. A ton of trails to explore in and around the main loop. Great views.

This would be better if I wasn’t chased by a terrifying man the last time I was there

great spot for a flat run with a nice view

Easy hike with some beautiful views! Lots of little trails you can take to extend the hike some.

Nice place to take your dog for a walk or go for a stroll - there are two paths you can take. It’s a good alternative to walking on the bike path if that’s a bit further of a drive. It’s also a good spot to go snowshoeing when there’s snow.

For a walking/jogging trail absolutely beautiful for a road bike trail way too many bumps an not in some areas. The whole path just need to be repaved.

Great view, great zen
