What a great hike! Lots of variety: easy in spots, rocky, steep, and challenging in others, boardwalks, wooden bridges, wide open fields, and the top is somewhat reminiscent of being in Acadia. My wife and I did this with our 2 and half year old who walked over half the way up before needing to be put in the backpack for some of the more complex, rocky parts. We did the meeker trail from Christian road following the yellow markings to the lookout (the shorter steeper trail) then following the blue markings to the lake view. Awesome trail! This is one of the better hikes we’ve done in CT as far as complexity/overall enjoyment!

Awesome views, nice trails, friendly people. Love bringing my dog, she can run, play, walk, & swim....& make new friends!

great little 1.5 mile hike up. views of the east and west at the top ! 270° viewing I would have to say as well, which is always worthy of a good hike

Went on a 90 degree day humidity had to make it over 100 degree. Me and pearly got 3/4 of the way had to turn around. Way to hot out. Almost fainted and we’re both avid hikers. Long stretches of open field trail in the beginning, No shade. Had to coach the dog back it was that HOT. Great hike if a little cooler. Will attempt again IG: tess_pearly2dajammy

2 pretty views. Did the full Meeker trail (yellow) loop rather than the out and back trail on this app. 4 miles total. Decent hike but wouldn't do it again.

Good hike and beautiful view at the top. Today was a tad windy and cold, but worth it. Pups loved it also.

Not a bad little hike. I went after a snowstorm so it was very pretty. The views from the rower was cool.

Pretty easy, good views from the tower, kid-friendly.

Pretty hike, took me about 50 mins front to back including ~5-10 mins at the top. Love the tower! Very cool.

Great hike with terrain ranging from flatter and even to hilly and rocky. The tower at the top has a pretty view of the surround hills, towns and fall foliage!

Great after work hike with a great view. Believe it or not but I once had my 89 Jeep Wrangler parked at top of the pinnacle after an awesome night of wheeling.

First time I ever came across a black bear in my path. Great experience...the pics are from August last year. Sorry no bear pics...I know. Shorter trail but a bunch of different terrain.

great lookout, pretty varied trail but the map provided by the preserve wasn't as informative as the one on this app so we missed out on seeing the lake. will have to make it back a second time

Really beautiful. Varied flora and terrain which I loved. Large boulders throughout. Fantastic view at the top overlooking lake Waramaug. Just wished there was a bit more climb. Did the loop with the shorter increased elevation portion first. Highly recommend for an easy/moderate day hike :)

If you have limited time, take the Pinnacle Trail from June Rd. Moderate with some nice challenges. Awesome view from top of Lake Warramaug and beyond. Won't disappoint.
