Beautiful short trail. ((Wear pants)) very high grass. And tick repellent. But the greenery was Majestic. The view was beautiful. Good for kids. Me and Pearly Jam would come back . One THUMBS UP. Are time was 32 minutes there and back.

beautiful view . definatly visit the swamp.

Keep this one in mind for the fall when the view should be spectacular.

Late Summer doesn't afford a full view of Bantam Lake - very short walk up to the viewing stand. Wouldn't allow more than two people on the stand at a time.....

Quick hike...nice views

Look for address 142 as the entrance is off a private driveway/easement. Also, this trail is barely a mile loop, the view is gorgeous on the wooden observation tower. You can decide to continue onto the Laurel Hill Trail towards the boardwalk at Cat swamp if you choose to if you want a longer hike. When we went it seemed that the poison ivy was creeping within the cut meadow closer than usual so be cautious.

After a short hike up a slight hillside, you'll be rewarded with a tranquil view of Bantam Lake and the surrounding landscape. Best on a summer morning or evening.
