Went for a Post-Thanksgiving walk with the family.

Our hike happened on Friday 11/24/17. Our family did the whole trail. The trail at mile 2 and 3 were obstructed with felled trees but not anything that we couldn’t get through. At mile 5, the trail isn’t clearly marked and we ended up about a half a mile from our car at the trail head. Still a beautiful hike. The only pick I had is at mile 3, the steep climb really was hard for the ten yr old..... but she conquered it! Epic family experience!!!!

Easy to follow and fun trails. Kids and pup had lots of fun on a beautiful, sunny day in Nov. We especially loved the Children's story boards (no spoiler) along the way, that inspired our children to go for an extra short loop. We did a 4 mile loop trail.

Fantastic trail with streams and small waterfall. The beginning of the trail is along Lake Zoar which is picturesque.

Beautiful views. I would rate it as an easy hike, but still enjoyable.

Well marked trail. I started behind 2 trees Inn this time. Some steep sections, but not overly strenuous. One section has a pathway through rock that's a little difficult to fit through, but if you go up sideways you should be fine. Good hike.

Really nice park, expect it to be very busy on nice weather days and long weekends in the summer months

Nice hike

WMF is a very fun place with lots of variety, and I do a lot of trail running there. As far as mtn biking it is boring, but for a beginner it’s excellent. If you are looking for something remotely challenging WMF is not the place!

Most of the trails are carriage roads that you can drive a car on. There are some good inclines to work on your climbing skills, but that’s about it. There are no technical downhills or much of anything challenging. Plus, many of the trails, unless you know the less populated ones, can be very crowded on weekends. To that, many of the dog owners are very disrespectful and don’t abide by the leash laws (for the record, I am a dog owner!). When one points out that they are breaking the rules most get their hackles up and underwear in a bunch.

If you want a challenge head over to the Mattituck Trail by the Thomaston Dam. It’s quiet, unpopulated, a very challenging!

Quick hike but a beautiful view! Although a little disappointed that the trees have already lost most of their color. Looking forward to going earlier in the fall next year.

I come here often and enjoy it. It is easy, but the scenery views are beautiful, especially when walking along the water. I also have incorporated rock climbing. When you find the right ones you can climb!! Also, there are trails that connect to Haley Brook Farm/Mumford Cove, so it makes it a much longer walk! You just need to know your way around, but markers are easy to follow and read!

I enjoy it here and views at the end of the hike make it ALL worth it. I do wish there was more to do.

easy family friendly trail but heavy traffic.

Worth it for the views, but kind of a tedious walk out. I was envying the bike riders.

The views at the end of the hike are amazing ..

It’s easy walking trail..

Will take the more challenging forest trail for the first half and the river trail for the second half next time! Took a little under 3 hours.
Song lyric graffiti was a bummer to see on a stand of trees, but hike was a really nice, manageable challenge. Some junctions are not well marked and require some quick back tracking.
