loved the hike and view!

Great and easy hike for Kids and pets!

Nice walk along the river. Can be a bit muddy in early spring. Parking lot is very small

Great trails with a great view awesome Sunday afternoon for the whole family.

I also did the loop, I wouldn’t rate it as “hard.” The views on the summit were decent, and we also saw an enormous turkey vulture on the top.

There are (((no animal)) restrictions leash or not !!zero animal policy!!!

Snow covered trail but nicely packed. Beautiful.

Loved this loop! Trail is very clearly marked.
Beautiful- Still snow on the ground, but packed down from hikers so slippery on climbing sections.
About .5 mile is on a neighborhood road before you head back into the woods.
Lots of streams for dogs to drink.

Some awesome views of lake.

Great for a quick, pretty hike with picnic.

Great trails. Good year round. Well blazed.

Hiked this trail yesterday for a late winter hike. Snow still on the ground but blue skies overhead. Started on the trailhead at cream pot rd and hiked up past pyramid rock on the mica ledges trail. Connected with the blue blazed Mattabesset and circled back. Extremely well marked. Looks like they’ve updated their markings. Some very nice views along the hike. Quiet and peaceful.

Pleasant hike, not too hard, nice river and other interesting features, as well as a nice overlook.

Beautiful walk with my dog!

Walked it today.Kind of muddy but not difficult .Took about an hour .Part of the walk is on the road along the Farmington river .Coming out to the road on the west side of the loop was clearly marked with an orange arrow sign indicating to turn left and walk the road but was not marked at all at the re entry point just before the overpass where the trail will climb steeply .You need to pay attention to see it.

Very cool trail with some nice views along the way. Parking is limited if you park on Route 6. Definitely want to go again

Great trail!

A friend and I did this hike yesterday. It was a sunny day and there was a lot of snow still on the ground. The hike was lovely and definitely a workout going up and a little hairy going down. Best to hold onto some branches and trees or avoid slippery rock faces and take the deep snow way around. All in all a great 2 to 2 1/2 hour hike. if anyone happens to go on the trail and finds a gray hat with a pompon, please contact me st 203 592 8403. I believe I lost it on the trail and would love to get it back!

Lots of History fun to Explore. My wife and I were there on a Sunny Day a few days after a March Snow Storm. Every thing looked picturesque.

Great for trail running!l Loop is 4.5 miles. This is a gravel trail for the most part. Follow signs to Bluff Point to Sunset Rock to Mumford Cove. You will love the views too!

Walked on a Sunday morning woth my boxer! Saw only a couple quiet people. Very well marked, there’s a river with mini waterfall to check out. Muddy in patches wear boots. Parking on east side of road across from trail entrance

Fun short hike, great for families and young children, or anyone looking to get outside for some fresh air. To get the most out of the hike I would recommend doing both loops.

Fairly gradual hike up an wide, dirt road. We went on one of the first warm days of Spring, and the crowds were unbelievable. The tower at the top felt like a party, with probably 50 people crammed onto the top level. This would make a decent hike on a day with less people, but it wouldn’t be phenomenal.

Really easy hike. Perfect for kids and pets. Definitely recommend.
