We did this on December 28, 2016 in lots of snow and with a high of 7 degrees! It was an awesome loop, definitely felt sub zero on the summit with the winds.

Beautiful and excellent run. It is not 5.3mi but 6.338mi for the full round circuit. Follow the blue Marks throughout the way and you will be in for a treat with stunning vistas and superb running terrain.

hiked it on Jan 15 following some flooding which receeded recently. It was a cold day, in the teens, but the ice formations in the river and small brooks were beautiful. Nice trail, easy to follow, and we didn't see another hiker

Great family hike. 4, 5 and 7 year old. 3.4 miles with dog. Right after snow melt and rain, falls were flowing! Will go again.

This is my favorite hike!!!

Nice hike with kids. My 4, 5 and 7 year old had no problem. Be careful near cliffs, also does have a decent incline. Great for dogs too. Pretty solid for families. Little parking.

Nice hike with family. Very busy, which is a pro and a con. Great for dogs as there were a bunch of dogs on this trail. Nice views from the tower.

Nice family hike with family and dog. Waterfall was the best park. Busy, popular spot. Nice for picnics too.

We did this as our 1st hike of 2018.
Took the Red trail, as the map says it's to the Overlook, but we only came upon railroad tracks.
Luckily we met a woman who advised us to take the Red to Blue/Purple. THAT led us to the top overlooking the Housatonic River.

From the lower parking lot, follow the 'road' to the left. Half a mile up, you can pick the Red trail on the Left. Go up the mountain. At the Red & Blue/Purple intersection, bare Right onto Blue. The overlook is a short stroll. As of today, if you took the trail in the woods, the log bridge to cross the water was blocked off, you could not continue.

Will go back in the Fall to get a better view of the foliage.

Great snowy hike today. We parked in the commuter lot, crossed the street and walked up a side street to find the trail head. It was easy to find and everything was very clearly marked. We will definitely go again.

Great winter hike - loop trail is strenuous enough for a work out and quick enough (90-120 min) to squeeze into a busy day. Nice views of the surrounding hills and a few streams and small waterfalls. Trail is well marked and dovetails with the AT for ~0.5 mile.

Haven't hiked in CT much, but this was my favorite I've done here.

Magical especially after a snowfall...

Pretty hike, took me about 50 mins front to back including ~5-10 mins at the top. Love the tower! Very cool.

Nice little walk around the pond. Not too strenuous.

Solid hike, be ready to deal with some rocks if you are going in the winter. Trail relatively well kept and well blazed.

it wasn't so hard, and a lot of fun. the view was nice! definitely would do it again

Perfect hiking weather the day we chose to hike this well marked trail. Challenging yet fun trail. Was surprised that we did not see another hiker the entire trek. Well worth checking the trail system out.

I hiked here today and it was great! It had snowed last night, so the trail was coated, but it was only moderately slippery in a few spots. The views on this trail are incredible - there are a bunch of overlooks! Definitely recommend this hike.

The trail wasn't well marked, but it was beautiful in the snow.
