Great hike with varying levels of difficulty. some steep sections that level off. you'll hit rattlesnake mountain first, but keep going to get to Pinnacle Rock. lots of scrambling at times, bring good shoes!

We would consider this trail challenging for sure, but worth the views! My sister and I are runners and 21 and 23yo, and we do a decent amount of hiking. Just for the sheer steepness of the hills and the rocky terrain, this is no leisurely stroll. Would not recommend bringing a dog. We loved the adventure and had a ton of fun climbing the rocks. But if you choose this trail, expect to get your hands dirty. You will earn fantastic views with 2 overlooks though, absolutely worth it!!

Parking was terrible and I think thats a problem right by the busy route 6 and Colby highway. the GPS actually took me past and I was like well it said Meta comet trail so I turned around. I loved the rattlesnake mountain and think the views were amazing for sure. after going to Pinnacle rock is a big blow and let down. I don't think many even go to it since their is nothing to see up their but trees and electrical poles hmm. I kept going and extended some. I was kind of confused with the 4.4 miles out and back since it said less on the sign. if you go down rattlesnake though it was a rock scramble and challenge to get back up so thats kind of cool

Not my favorite... very buggy & trail markers were faded. Kids liked seeing old zoo remnants.

Great new find. More mountainous and pretty forest life. Steep and rocky (slightly muddy) in many areas - great uphill/downhill challenges. More people (with kids) than I prefer but it was Sunday morning. Parking is limited. Will definitely go back.

Trail markers a faded and bi-secting trails are not marked so difficult to determine. But overall a nice easy hike

This trail is TERRIBLE!! Its barely wooded. You are essentially walking through long grass the entire time. Had to pull a tick off of my 2 year old on the way out. If you are looking for a shaded trail through the forest this isn’t it. A lot of sun and where there was woods it was ankle deep mud.
