Hiking

Nice hike with kids, easy trails with a mixture of scenery. Good for getting outdoors, however underwhelming overall.

Long trail. Not for the faint hearted. Marked very well. Rarely needed my phone for the map. Its actually 18.4 miles.

It was a nice trail with a good variety of uphill and downhill portions. A little buggy so I highly recommend bringing bug repellant. We were able to access the Hearthstone Castle which was a great find but it’s set for demolition so you may want to go sooner than later if that’s a key piece to your trip

Beautiful hike but not clearly marked. We eventually made it down to Candlewood Lake! Very steep but worth it. Easy for the kids and dogs too.

Nature trips

Great cardio workout to get you heartrate up. Lots of up and down terrain and overall nice to be in nature. Trails are well marked.

Not exactly what we’d call “moderate” - more like easy moderate. Pretty crowded, especially around the lake. Trails were sort of marked, but there’s no way we would have found the right way without following the All Trails map. The lake and the birds were the best parts, which both require minimal hiking / walking to get to. Lots of frogs on the sides of the lakes, so keep an eye out.

Only did a couple miles. The place seems nice. I've never seen so many trails. I didn't stay long because when I went down to the pond, while the dog was swimming, I noticed that there was poison ivy everywhere. I kind of panicked. Ran home to shower.

Great hike. Challenging at parts but nice views make it worth it. Trail is very well marked throughout. Only one point did we not see a signpost but normally could see the next 3-5 markers with ease. Sometimes more. We started at around 9am and worked clockwise. At the end there was a lot of people but very few on the trail. Very nice hike.

The view of Candlewood Lake was very pretty! I appreciated the number of trails available as well, lots of options! I plan on returning to do some of the other loops!

Great hike today and nice view from the top too. We varied from the prescribed trail so as to avoid an out/back and it was worth it. Enjoy...
