Beautiful hike on a perfect fall morning. The streams and small falls were features we didn’t expect! State has been installing culverts along forest roads, we missed a turn off in a wide open area where they’ve cleared trees.

Nice trail if it hasn't rained in a few days. Very quiet, scenic and nice brooks. As said before, at Kingsbury road your option is to follow the clearly marked blue trail on paved road, or go left on road all the way back on other paved road along difficult to see blue/yellow marker to complete the 3.2 mile loop.

Great trail. Lots of different terrain. Well marked. Gentle walks along a river. Up and down trails with rocks and roots. And even paved flat trails. Rocks and bridges are very slippery. Wear good shoes. And as mentioned, bring the bug spray.

Watch for the double blue blaze on the right to see where the trail leaves the "road". The foundation mentioned in the description is pretty overgrown in July, and easier to see southbound. The turn off to the falls had an easy to see sign, and the detour is definitely worth it. Thanks to the folks who put and maintain the wood bridge over the creek and placed enough big flat rocks to make the water crossings fun and easy. Didn't see any poison ivy, but some wild roses and berry vines trailed thorny branches over the trail. Bug spray kept the mosquitoes away, but the flies were annoying if you didn't keep moving.

My husband and I chose this trail due to the close proximity to our home. We had to spray down twice due to the bugs. While rocky, the scenery was lovely - tranquil brooks and streams. We were surprised to see a hen on the trail which obviously escaped from someone’s coop. Overall, it was an enjoyable hike!

BEAUTIFUL and exceeded expectations. Very rocky and full of tree roots. Please be careful crossing bridges — they can get slippery. Highly suggest using insect repellent ( I wore some and the mosquitos still had fun with me). Blue yellow trail ends and then you turn left onto the blue trail.

One thing to note bring boots that can handle deep mud . Also wear long pants tucked in and long sleeves. A lot of flying biting insects and ticks galore. I picked a few of them off me. overall a very easy trail and short. There is private property on either side of trail and it is washed out in a few spots. I would definitely do a once over before entering vehicle you will have insects on you.

Nice early Spring hike. Easy first half (I went CCW, didn’t do other side) with a couple of minor inclines. River is pleasant but you can hear occasional noise from traffic on Rt 198. Lots of gnats and ticks even in late April. There are two porta potties in the parking area. I’d love to come back when the mountain laurels are blooming, there are tons of them!

My daughter and I really enjoyed it. Pretty sure we saw an eagle on the way in, then about 6 vultures on the way out. The falls are real pretty, there’s also some kind of animal den but it was empty. It was only muddy due to the recent rain but it was easy to navigate around. Good for a simple Sunday stroll.
