Still fairly snow covered at this time but that’s not the reason for 1 star. You cannot walk more than 10ft without running into dog poop. There was probably a hundred different poop sites in the .25 mile that we walked. It was disappointing to see that much poop on a trail.

Can I take my Honda Pioneer on this or do you have to have a licensed vehicle??

It was very snowy and this was not an easy trail given the conditions! However, we had so much fun and there were amazing views! Towards the top it would have been beneficial to have snowshoes, but we managed! It took us about 4 hours.

Great to snowshoe in fresh powder. Limited views - not sure I would like it without snow covered trees

Nice trail with a few steep inclines. The deep snow made our family hike a little challenging with a dog and an 8 year old, but the views were 100% worth it. Took the bike paths back down due to snow levels. Would definitely to it again!

Snow is hard packed and the trail is doable with good boots, but microspikes would be helpful further in. The hard packed snow starts to get more narrow the higher up on the trail you go. Good hike for winter and only saw a handful of other people on a Friday morning. Just watch out for cross country skiers and moose.

Great groomed trails. Beautiful woods and clearings. Got in our steps even though we’re no longer in tip top shape!

Perfect trail in the snow--everything was nicely packed and the weather was beautiful! Lots of different options for trails.

Plenty of smaller trails well labeled to explore! Went hiking since there was low snow in mid December and the paths were well traveled. Perfect for cross country skiing. Easy inclines, beautiful views, and you can go as far as you'd like!

Good trail for sightseeing and mild off-roading. I found some great mud puddles up there if that’s what you’re looking for. Jeep did great up there.

super cute trail and many different ways you can venture off!

A great trail to take your pup on. So much fun after a snow day.

This is a lovely little moderate hike in the woods. We clocked it at about 7.6 miles all in starting from the lower parking lot (you can skip this and drive up the forest road to the actual trailhead). Gradually uphill the whole time but nothing too strenuous. A few scenic meadows and views of the CD were the nicest parts. The tail end is in dense muddy forest and the trail is a mess. Small lovely waterfall at the end of the trail. Not very crowded saw maybe 10 people the whole time on a Friday afternoon. Close to town which is great! Road noise dissipates very quickly and you are surrounded by woods.

Great trail to start your hiking adventure. My wife and I did and went another 1/4 mile passed the big fall, recording 10,890 elevation at our turning around point. Great to adventure.

Nice drive up. A lot of smoke in the air. Weather was good otherwise.

This was a tough hike. About 2 miles up gaining 1700 ft in elevation. Beautiful views though but take your time. Starts at about 9000 ft up to 10,700 elevation. Great for trail running down. In and out of trees. Winter park is always beautiful and there is a nice restaurant at the top. Food is very pricey. Lots of flowers in august.

Beautiful area. Spent the weekend camping, drove up to Rollins sign and hiked to King Lake. We camp here every year.

Beautiful views of Winter Park and the wildflowers were in full bloom. Hike was easy for the kids and there were several different trails that all connected if you wanted to continue longer.

Nice slow ascent, 1200 ft over 3.5 miles or so. Upper half is shady and green with lots Blueberry bushes and mushrooms along the trail. Follows Jim Creek.

Great hike! Highly recommend!

4x4 road up to Rollins Pass from the west side. Mellow 4x4ing in fact a car could do it, just a little clearance needed at spots. Mid August clear of snow and moisture. A few puddles here and there but nothing of an obstacle. Huge payoff at the top.

Great trail with the family. Just did a few miles and ventured off on one of the smaller trails. Beautiful wildflowers and sounds of the creek below.

Did not hike due to Sign at trailhead... "no uphill biking or hiking." We ended up hiking the Ute trail that zigzagged between the 2 chairlifts.

Nice enough for a vacation outing. A lot of mountain bikes on the trail. We met a couple of other trails and followed them for a while.

Quick access from Fraser/Winter Park and a good trail for running. Rocky but good footing and good views of the valley.

Nowhere in my readings was this rated as anything other than an easy trail so I was hoping for, and got, an easy but beautiful trail. There was a lot of traffic but I went on a Saturday. I only went to the first lake because it was later in the day when I headed up but the whole way was beautiful. Oh and I found a double mud puddle so win there! It's a fun trail for when you're wanting to off road but your rig needs some work.
