Quick hike down from the gondola. rocks were a little unstable, but other than that, it was a great hike. Great views and beautiful aspen groves. Really nice that bikes aren't allowed on this trail.

Better with snow... just a dirt road!

Great for a quick track down hill with kids.

July 2017, Water crossing with steep and challenging parts, worth it!

Traveled with a group of 8 including a 10 year old who did great. The Trail was nice and wide for us. Steady incline the majority of the Trail, somewhat rocky. End waterfall is worth the trek!! The most enjoyable part of this hike are views going up AND coming down! 360 scenery - 5 stars

Amazing Jeep trail with crazy views and crazy narrow roads. Not for the faint of heart!!!! Expect many weather changes along the way, was snowing sleeting at the top in August!!!! Hit rain, sunshine, not sun, and saw lots of wildlife. Took our two teenage boys in a razor and they LOVED it!!!!! We've done this trail twice, second time all the way down to telluride!

Beautiful drive to get to our BLM campsite

Tough but so worth it! Great views and easy access from downtown

Tight trail, fairly easy first 2/3 up with a section after passing the tree cover that seemed a little sketchy, to use caution. After that it flattens out a bit; one small patch of snow. Great hike! A little challenging for out-of-towner on first day in higher altitude.

Still snow on many if the switchback turns last weekend, definitely made the hike a little slower. Hope Lake was still frozen. Beautiful view of Trout Lake and the surrounding area.

Nice walk through town and to the base of Bridal Veil Falls. Loved see the history along with the modern growth.

Good view at the top but not a hike worth writing home about.

Really enjoyed the trail, took it slow and enjoyed the views. Push yourself to the top and it’s so worth all the views! Not terribly hard, just watch your footing at the top. Would do again!

Easy dirt road trail. Saw a Toyota Prius at the top. Probably wasn’t an easy ride for them but they made it. Beautiful scenery, sucky fishing, and beautiful star view! Worth the trip. Currently on stage 2 fire restrictions by the st. Miguel county but stage 1 by the forest service.

This trail is well maintained and offers spectacular views along the way to the waterfall!

Amazing trail. You drive up a fairly rough trail for a long ways, and eventually come across this old mining town at 11,000 feet. I truly enjoyed the journey.

This is a quick, short, uphill hike. Some narrow spots along the way and loose soil slowed our descent. The waterfall is such a neat area, we spent longer there than on the hike.

The hike up is a little strenuous but was so worth it. There are several benches along the trail to rest and enjoy the amazing view. Terrain and scenery changed over this relatively short trail, it was beautiful.

It's a beautiful hike! Very scenic and has a steady elevation all the way to the top. Breathtaking views all the way. Once you reach the waterfall, you have an excellent view of the mountains when you look back. Try to do it during the early hours of the day.

We went to Bear Creek Trail with mountain bikes couple days ago. I am a beginner so biking was though for me, please stay away from the edge if you biking! Try to keep your bike on the right side! The trail itself was very beautiful, interesting, challenging. At the end I was really proud of myself and super exhausted. Highly recommend!

Beautiful hike with just about all elevation gain on the way up, so a breezy walk down. You can hear the water throughout the entire hike and see the stream right off the path. The waterfall at the very top is incredible and refreshing. One of my favorite hikes ever!

Awesome drive. Started from ridgeway and ended in telluride. No trouble for a 4x4 equipped vehicle or 2 wheel fwd with decent clearance. Incredible views..peaceful and never felt like it was unsafe.

Very quick, but steep, hike to the falls. It is less than a mile round-trip from the trail head. Stay to the right at the bridge going across the stream at the beginning. There is some loose gravel at a few spots but not anything that difficult. The falls were flowing today (late May) but still had a frozen chunk at the bottom.
We just parked at the end of the (paved) road, right before the sign that said no parking ahead.

Fairly easy going off road as long as you have the clearance. A few tight switchback but nothing crazy hard. You can get right up to the falls! It's one of the must sees in Telluride!

Great views along the way but the trail is really a 4x4 road so cars and bikes will be passing you along the way. The view is lovely once you reach the top but it’s more of a destination hike.

I loved this hike!
It is walking distances from town and rewarding views almost instantly from every direction. The falls at the top are spectacular and are worth the all uphill hike.
