Gorgeous views and waterfall with a trailhead right in town. Lots of people and dogs.

Rode this trail with 17yr old son, and what a Great ride! First part is a little grueling with the climb, but well worth the effort for some great down hill biking. Recommend for Intermediate to Advanced riders only. Awesome views of Telluride.

Love love love this trail! Beautiful wildflowers, great views from high up and little traffic. I suggest starting on the mill creek trail then coming straight down the webbie.

Easy trail. Stunning waterfall at the end.

Hike is beautiful and very family friendly!

on Wilson Meadows Trail

The map for this trail is misleading. There is no clear entry to the Wilson Meadows Trail from the point that AllTrails marks as the trail head. After following the AllTrails directions for a while we could not find any signs of a trail. To get to the trail follow the directions from USDA Forest Service website:

"From Telluride: Travel 3 miles west on State Hwy 145. Turn left at the first highway intersection, continuing south on State Hwy 145 for approximately 10 miles to the top of Lizard Head Pass. The Lizard Head Trailhead is located on the west side of State Highway 145. Continue driving past the restroom for approximately 1,000 feet, then turn right onto a spur road that ends at the Lizard Head Trailhead parking area. Follow the Lizard Head Trail #505 for approximately 3.5 miles to an intersection with the Wilson Meadows Trail."

The road to the trail head I’d suggest at least all wheel drive and recommend getting there early, it gets pretty packed and it’s nice to have the lake to yourself. The elevation spike is brisk, you climb 2000 feet in a hurry. Overall a great hike with stunning views.

Extremely tough but totally worth it. Amazing views and no foot traffic.

This “hike” is on a rocky road with cars passing, hardly any shade and is not worth the effort. Either take a 4X4 up to the falls then hike from there to Silver or Blue Lake. Or skip this and go to Bear Creek Falls which is a much more enjoyable hike.

This is a great trail with beautiful views. You can get right up to the base of the waterfall!

Great hike with amazing views. My 7 & 9 year olds were able to enjoy it.

Good hike with great views, fishing was good, even though lake was very low.

Did the loop with deep creek and it came in around 15 miles. The elevation gain is no joke for the first 3-4 miles and there are some spots in the middle where you're zig zagging switchbacks very close to the edge with a narrow trail. Overall great views and well worth it.

Its a dirt road that leads to the falls. tue Scenery is nothing special and the Falls werent that great. Go and do Bear Creek instead. The falls there are surreal.

Spectacular and special place, not for the novice hiker, high altitude, steep uphill to the top

Amazing views!

Family friendly. Crowded though still pleasant. Climb feels worth it at the Falls.

Great hike with beautiful scenery. I highly recommend going up to the falls then going back to where the bear creek trail meets the Wasatch trailhead and continuing along there. Wasatch is a bit more strenuous but worth it. You can also take Wasatch all the way to Bridal Veil Falls and continue along other trailheads if you want a full day of hiking. Great wildflowers along the way and much of the trail is right alongside the water.

Beautiful scenery on the way to the falls, but the spray from the waterfall at the end of this hard climb make it all worth while. However, it is a VERY rocky trail...hard on the feet. It’s also hard if you’re not used to altitude. We calculated 5.5 miles round trip on our GPS. Also, lots of dogs running loose, so be careful of owners that can’t control their dogs very well.

Take your fishing pole! Thee are some big trout just swimming around up there. Trail is difficult to follow from the river crossing, but gets better. Saw a bear and big fat marmot. Gorgeous wildflowers.

Very easy in a stock T4R. Great views!!

Gorgeous views and gradual ascent. Hope Lake water levels were very low (June, 2018) but still worth the hike.

This is less a trail and more of walking up a dirt road. Falls are beautiful, but better to drive to the top and then start the hike to Blue Lake.

Totally worth the up hill trek! Waterfall is very refreshing and views are fabulous. Easy for kids.

Quick hike down from the gondola. rocks were a little unstable, but other than that, it was a great hike. Great views and beautiful aspen groves. Really nice that bikes aren't allowed on this trail.

Better with snow... just a dirt road!

July 2017, Water crossing with steep and challenging parts, worth it!
