Easy trail, with only a small incline. Lots of awesome scenery. The trail starts right at the campground.

This hike is tough! The views are awesome but 2+ miles of rock field is exhausting. Also the trail is non-existent even outside of the rock fields. I would recommend just going around lost lake and then up a bit part way through the fields - the whole way is not quite worth it, in my opinion!

Beautiful hike. Lakes are definitely something to see. Easy hike. Camp sites were totally filled and lots of people at sites. Not many people on the trial.

@Michael Howard yes you can. They have campsites right at the trailhead. If those are all full, there are plenty of campsites along the road heading up

A must hike in the area especially in the summer.

Beautiful trail with, you guessed it, three lakes. Each lake has its own character and atmosphere. Can be slightly muddy in places.

Beautiful drive from Crested Butte to this trail there are several places to stop & wander through the biggest Aspen grove I have ever seen & gorgeous! The hike is great too not to difficult and the lake is very pretty! There is a nice waterfall along the way & lots or wildflowers!

I've written a blog post about this hike @ www.break-trail.com

Lots of snow still up high, and lots of talus/scree hopping. Some of this gets loose, steep and sketchy on the route I chose. Up high, I followed a previous hikers AllTrails gps map, but had to deviate due to snow. My route only got to the ridge that you would scramble up to get to the summit. It was getting late in the day, I was alone, and a little scared of the loose talus ridge climb, so I bailed, to return another day!

I went on a hiking palooza, and went to Zion, Arches, and few other hikes in Colorado and Utah, and this trail was my favorite. You can hear an enormous waterfall from the start of the trail, and each Lake is GORGEOUS. The lookouts are breathtaking, and walking through the rivers and streams is both challenging and exciting. I love this trail, and camping here is great too. If you like spectacular views and aren't afraid of water, this is the hike for you.

One of my favorite hikes. The lakes are beautiful, especially dollar lake cause it had an emerald color. Went in late June and the creeks were full and flowing. The view of the mountains was one of the prettiest views I've seen. Definitely recommend

on Three Lakes Trail

Absolutely beautiful hike. Went in June and almost all the snow was melted and the lakes were full. Lots of shady spots for hot days. Definitely go to all three lakes and the water fall!

This trail still has a decent amount of snow on it. The most snow was between The Falls and Dollar lake. There were a couple of times that you had to guess where the trail was. If you are starting the loop from the east and are going up to Dollar lake you really don't hit the snow until you're about 0.2 miles from the lake. The views were gorgeous and well worth the hike through the snow.

So beautiful! Went in June and there was still some snow but not enough to ruin it!

Absolutely beautiful lake and mountain views right off Kebler pass. I prefer the disbursed camping sights on the way up to the lake or all along Kebler Pass. Some of the best camping in Colorado in my opinion. I would not personally camp in the lake campground simply because it is a little to crowded for me, but if you have a family, and like having restrooms and a nice picnic table and fire pit, this would be a great choice.

We entered the Canyon from the West and encountered 18" of snow November 22, 2013. Difficult travelling, many mountain lion tracks, very cold. We were on our NOLS independent travel for Outdoor Education. No Shoe shoes. Trudging with 60 lbs on our backs.

Very beautiful. We went over memorial day weekend so it was a little crowded. But we loved it. Had some great swimming holes and beautiful rock formations.
