Wolf! Me and my wife saw a wolf. He started barking and howling. We called the cops and they came really fast. We got around the wolf though and it left us alone. Other that the Kilometer we walked it was very sparse and no shade.

Good views of the water, no shade and rocky. Ok for kids because it’s flat but if it’s hot there is zero shade so good luck!

Bike touring

Great for biking. I wouldn't call it easy for a beginner but it was definitely a good mix of mountain bike trail scenery on a paved walk way if that makes sense. Anyway enjoy! We loved it.

Great little trail with the pups. Will come back again. Saw a snake, lots of people. You have to buy a park pass.

Loved hiking to the top of the bluffs. Great view of the lake and mountains. Fun close to Pueblo hike. Hiked Staircase, Steep Tech, Water Tower then to various other trails. Was a beautiful day.

***CAUTION*** Came across a Rattlesnake today on the main trail that you walk down in the open field not too far from the parking lot. Really good hike this past Saturday but today (Tuesday 4/28/20) was fun.

Hiked Southshore to Creekside to Waterfall to Inner Limits. Saw deer and turkey vultures. Was a beautiful day. Lots of people in boats fishing. Good easy to moderate hike close to Pueblo.

A chunk of the trail runs along the newly paved road, so it was fresh breeze with whiffs of asphalt. Otherwise very nice!

If you take the trail down by the laken there's a fair amount of trash in the driftwood. I recommend bringing a bag, to pack some of it out. I collected as much as I could carry!

I did a bit more of this trail today. Bikers should always give an alert, but especially during covid, when their heavy breathing and speed mean the distance should be more like 10-20 feet apart. There were a few out this evening who rode up right on hikers' tails and passed within 2 feet of them.

I parked in the lot at the end of W Fishing Rd, then headed on the trails to the north. Really nice, rolling, rocky terrain and lake views. It was Sunday afternoon and there weren't many people to avoid, but I was glad I had a bandana around my neck to use as a mask as we passed each other.

Lovely easy hike along a finger of the lake to the main lake. The only bad thing is all the dog poop. Obviously no one bothers to pick up after their dog.

Really decent trail. Well marked and worn. There was one spot about a mile and a quarter in that you have to go around some water. That adds about a tenth of a mile or so to the route. In total, clocked the route on my Apple Watch and phone at 5.5 miles. Pretty solid views the whole time.

Awesome trail. My dogs loved it because even though it does not have shade it has a beautiful lake for them to take a dip

Went on a Sunday around 1045am. Plenty of parking. Lots of horse poop on the trail. No snow, ice, or mud...so it was perfect. It’s a nice, easy walk with pretty views! Weather was about 60, sunny but very windy so I was chilly. Def would recommend this hike!

Perfect hike for a 60+°F sunny winter day. A BIT windy at the Arkansas point, dusty, rocky overall, and quite slippery just because I wore running shoes and took a short cut towards the end to head down, no shades, hence, moderate! But I love it and can do this beautiful loop everyday.. in spring
