A fun hike close to town, gets pretty hot in the summer though. Little shade.

Excellent trail for kids! A stroller with large off-road wheels would also work.

Great running trail. Ran from devil's backbone to horsetooth reservoir. Lots of snakes so stay alert!

Easy, yet very enjoyable hike! Great trail to bring my dog on, she loved it! Would definitely be great for all types of activities! Will be making a trip back soon!

Scenic, not difficult. I added on the Laughing Horse Loop for a total hike of 6.2 miles.

Beautiful place for walking and my dog loves it. However, within the last couple of months, it's been crazy with tons of people. Too bad, because it's a beautiful area. Known to have a lot of rattlesnakes too.

Beautiful landscape. Saw some early spring wildflowers, birds, people catching fish.

Easy, flat, well maintained walking paths around several ponds. Multiple picnic tables, areas to fish and great mountain views .

This trail cannot currently be accessed due to construction on highway 34!

Great place to ride as a beginner in the mountain bike world cant wait to get back.

Come here frequently for my evening work outs, I love this trail, lots of wildlife and beautiful views and tonight I saw a MOUNTAIN LION!! This happened on the laughing horse section of the extended trail, I noticed a herd of deer running up and over the ridge and a few seconds later I saw the lion below crouching down and moving from bush to bush! Got my heart pumping but what an experience!

It had been a long time since I had been on this trail, and was sad to see that the surrounding area had been pretty heavily developed. The trail itself is still nice, but the view of mini-mansions was disappointing to say the least. If you are trying to get way from civilization for a few hours, this isn't your trail.

Nice even terrain with decent views... looks like a great place to fish!

You can combine this loop, hit the Hidden Hogback Trail, and go to the top of the Butte while your at it and get a nice little 2+ mile hike with a full 360 degree view of Loveland, the foothills and the Rocky Mountains.

Super easy trail my dog and I really enjoyed it! The fishermen’s cave I believe it was called that was very cool. Horses would love this trail.

Great hike that close to where you live. Excellent for hikers, mountain bikes, dogs, kids, seniors, runners alike. I would highly re commend getting there either early or after 2pm because the parking lots fills up and the Park Rangers don't allow anybody else in when that happens. Great hike!!

Great short walk to the top of Mariana Butte perfect for watching the sunrise over the front range and hitting Long's Peak. The trail starts at the golf course. We did this just before sunrise and missed the turn off (left) for the hike to the top. There is no sign at the fork. The main trail takes you east around the Butte, but not to the top. We saw a bobcat wandering around the Butte too.

Short trail, but I brought my dogs and they had such a fun time! Perfect little trail for their little legs. We live close by so we’ll be back often!

I love this trail because it is easy to get to, available nearly year round and the views are beautiful. Standing in the keyhole overlooking the mountains is spectacular.

Nice easy run, I went Feb 17th,2018 and it was muddy in some spots. Pretty windy in the open space towards the end of the loop trail. Dogs are allowed on a leash so I’ll be back with the pupper once the trail dries up.

Great afternoon loop! Hunting is common, so wearing bright colors would be a good idea.

The trail is not identified at all. I had to ask a lady who used the trail regularly. She lives near the trail.

If you want to experience where the locals do their single-track trail-running, this is it. It’s about 7 miles RT if you take the trail until it drops into the blue sky section. Lots of rolling trail but with many sections of loose rock and polished slabs that take nimble footwork. Moderate hills are perfect for those looking to improve their uphill running as it doesn’t last too long or is super steep in any spot. Great place to make running a habit!

This was our first hike near the foothills of the Co. Rockies. What beautiful day for this trail; there only a handful people and the weather was perfect. The 'keyhole' is a nice feature along this easy hike. The trail has map location settings along route making it extremely easy to follow.

Awesome family hike, I cannot wait to go back.
