Good for easy evening biking. Not crowded - just you, nature and horse poops :)

Probably a good trail for biking, but for hiking it was not great. Most of the trail I had to place my feet directly in front of each other to walk. Views weren't great and it goes through a neighborhood for about half a mile. The trail was nice and quiet though, not very many people hiking even on Memorial Day weekend. Plenty of geocaching on the route too.

beautiful wide paved trail that follows the river (often on both sides). Signage is clear and frequent. It's crowded on weekends. Kiosks with bike tools, bathrooms, and water are frequent as are parks and pull-offs.

This is the trail I’ve been searching for. I’m a beginner biker and this trail should have been my first, not mnt falcon, but I made it. Defiantly give this one a go!

Not a trail. It’s a sidewalk.

Yea this is ridiculous this is not a trail this is a sidewalk next to the road. You see a sidewalk in front of your house? If so well go take a walk it will be exactly the same. There was one little spot that went up a hill and next to a small lake but besides that it is just a paved sidewalk next to the street and I was ok with that because I seen the pictures and was like ok there must be a little spot next to a golf course atleast for a little bit that will make it worth it. NOPE there is not a spot on this trail that looks like the 2 pictures with a golf course.

Mix feeling about this trail. If you except to do a nice hike, you'll be disappointed since you have to go though residential area. I was going to give 2 stars at first, but changed mind to 3 stars because after 2 miles or so is an open space and you're able to experience a nice and relaxed hiking/trail run. Snow was icey and hard but I run on snow to get some good core workout. Only run into 4 different group of runners and 1 mountain biker for the whole trip.

1/3 of the trail is essentially a residential green belt and a portion closely parallels Wadsworth. The western section along the foothill is decent but not nearly as nice as other trails in the area. I guess this loop makes a nice after work run, but definitely not worth a family hike

Nice easy Saturday morning hike . . .

Pretty solid for a quick sunset trail run after work near Denver.

Perfect family friendly hike! Beautiful scenery and miles of paved, well kept trail for biking. I’ve taken my six year old on her bike and on foot and we see something new every time- she plays in the park’s nature center afterwards and has a blast. Also backs up to Breckenridge Brewery so we usually stop in for a round of corn hole, too :)

Decent place. Quiet, especially mid-week. Trail stays close to neighborhood in places.

It's pretty epic not so much the end near beaver creek, it's an Industrial area.
Also you can just walk to the Hudsons Gardens! There is more than just a hike

Easy and convenient. Fine for strollers. If you start on Waterton Road, you can go through the pasture gate and possibly see some cows (my kid loves it when we catch them).

Enjoyed nice hike along the South Platte trail. Easy hike. A bit busy with bikes. Paved bike trails and crushed gravel walking/hiking trails. Great views of the mountains and river.

Have ridden many times from C470 to downtown. Seamless. Occasionally ice builds up on north side of bridges. (Shadow cast by bridge prevents melting.) Birdwatchers don't care for cyclists. Runners appreciate a heads-up from cyclists before passing.

Stunning! Enjoy being out on the water but also running/biking

A paved trail running along the river. Plenty of room for passing walkers and other bikers.

Great for bikes and a number of walking trails along the river.

It's a good trail. I went at 6:30 am and there was still a lot of other people. Mostly bikes. I found some dirt trails that stay along the river. I suggest doing the same to avoid bike traffic. I was the only person on the dirt trails so it was very pleasant and quiet.

Decent for a quick spin on the bike. Just enough to get the heart going. Enough rocks to keep it interesting. Either finish through the neighborhood or double back to stay on dirt. No cover. Gets really hot. Best in mornings and evenings. Stay on the lookout for rattlesnakes. They like to sun themselves on the paths.
