The trail is nice, but be prepared for some slushy, muddy parts. It is very easy and absolutely gorgeous!

It was a nice trail around the lake. Super easy. Views were ok during the fall.

Nice, easy trail that has amazing views of rock formations. It would be a great trail for snow shoeing this winter.

Beautiful views and well maintained dirt path. We hiked today but this would also be a great mountain bike ride. Bonus, bathrooms available at the trailhead and they were super clean. 320 ft climb made this an enjoyable workout.

Nice peaceful place for an easy stroll. Beautiful rocks, shame there is no climbing - they’re still nice to look at. Lots of people there taking professional photos for the gorgeous backdrop.

Really unique rock formations. Coyote song is an easy trail, some inclines but nothing crazy. If you take the Lyons Back trail towards columbine trail it gets pretty steep. You can also go off path a lil and climb up to the ridge. Views were awesome, would not recommend the ridge climb to kids or anyone unsure of physical ability. Def go again, quick drive from Denver.

This trail extends way beyond what the map shows and there are tons of choices for paths to take. It’s gorgeous all year round, and it’s right next to the city for easy access. It’s a great way to feel like you’re deep in nature without a long drive OR intense inclines. Mostly flat.

Nice and relatively easy, with great views and dog accessible.

Love this park for a fun walk with my doggie

Short. Easy. Some good pics. Not a real challenge.

Great place for dogs. Almost which I were one to enjoy it as much as the dog I took. She absolutely loved it. She ran around exploring and jumped into the pond. She played and played and played until she couldn’t anymore! It was a joy watching her enjoy herself. When it was time to leave, she refused. She didn’t want to get in the car. She plopped herself down on the ground and refused to budge. That’s a testament to how much she enjoyed herself. The fees, $8 day pass- $70 year pass, $2 dog day pass- $20 dog year pass.

Let’s get one thing straight - this isn’t the type of trail a guy and his wife should hike on a weekend. For one, there are no views. Second, it gets very narrow and treacherous and probably isn’t the type of thing you will want to do. I’d recommend the Colorado trail for hikers.

For the mountain bikers - if you aren’t an experienced and in shape biker you may want to avoid this. Honestly, if you complete this without having to get off and walk your bike then I envy you! I had to walk maybe 20 times because of large rocks, roots, or just plain too steep. I consider myself a decent cyclist and this beat me up! Make absolutely sure your bike has great brakes, tires are in good shape and your gears work because you will be beating them up! At the end of the trail I think my arms hurt more than my legs, and that’s saying something.

Overall, this wasn’t personally my favorite bike trail but that doesn’t mean that an expert mountain biker wouldn’t completely love it. Just my $0.02.

Had fun, very dog friendly. Would recommend a day that's not too hot.

What's not to love about this dog park! My Husky loves coming here and it is a great spot for off leash training! It's well worth the $2/day ($20/year) pass (plus park admission.)

More of a outdoor walk than hike but really pretty. Definitely go on a cool or overcast day as there is no shade. I also recommend not taking a stroller or bikes for small kids.

Beautiful views throughout the walk. Quiet and peaceful.

How is this one Moderate? Nice EASY walk/run trail. Wide path.

Beautiful views in all directions! Gentle slope, not to tough of an incline. Love this trail!

This hike has beautiful rock formations and an easy to follow trail for my kiddos from the east coast. There were lots of dogs on the trail which was a bonus for us. Beautiful wildflowers and plants to look at. It was very hot with very little shade but there were bathrooms and water fountains at the beginning and end of the trail. I’d definitely recommend it for a short hike.

easy little loop with some views and birds. definitely a quickie but just nice to get out and get moving! lots of people catching fish :)

Loved this hike! Great way to acclimate to higher elevations for my vacation in Colorado. Beautiful sweeping views, pretty songbirds, clean and well maintained!

The trail is beautiful and the scenery is inspiring. It is an easy trail for families.

Solid hike! Pretty lengthy. About 6.5 miles of a service road, 5 miles of a secluded, quiet trail, 6.5 miles back on the service road. I stayed on the trail the entire time, and clock a distance of 18.2 miles. Good for an all day hike!

Such a great dog park with plenty of areas for your dog to play!

Wonderful birding! Watch for migration season and check out what is on the lake. There is little to no shade on this trail, so go early in the morning or later in the afternoon - in the summer. Fall and winter aren't too bad - windy. Great foothills sunsets to be enjoyed. Great hike for training little ones and big ones to build endurance for longer hikes as the seasons change.

Peaceful but nothing special about the views

Elk Loop is closed. Its an In and Out

Great red rock formations on this trail.

boring for a hike and people fishing have absolutely trashed the lake. very disappointing.

Nice trail. Wide trail, good one to take the kids. Go early, very sunny, no shade. First mile or so is a gentle up hill. Beautiful rock formations! Close to Denver. Coyote trail is not clearly marked on the return, bring a map along.
