Great off leash trail for dogs! Lots of spots for pups to get in the water. Definitely a 5!

Great trail. Paved and gravel run parallel for most of the way! There are also places to jump off on trails that get you closer to the platte! Pretty flat and easy. To and fro is a nice distance to get in some marathon training too!

Easy hike.

This trail goes way farther than that. The problem is that there is a missing part of the trail close to Titan however I parked close to Lucent and took the high line canal all the way to Hampdem (285) is about 21 mile one way. All gravel, super well kept, couple nice bathrooms with drinking water available and a lot of shade from the old cottonwood trees. Love it!

Good for easy evening biking. Not crowded - just you, nature and horse poops :)

on Chatfield Dog Park

My dog loves this park! He loves to swim here!

beautiful wide paved trail that follows the river (often on both sides). Signage is clear and frequent. It's crowded on weekends. Kiosks with bike tools, bathrooms, and water are frequent as are parks and pull-offs.

I had heard this place being referred to as Disneyland for dogs so of course we had to go. Even on a mid morning Tuesday it was busier than expected. It was nice to have the pup off the leash and he had a great time playing with other dogs. Not sure if it was because there were so many other people and pets there or the worn trails and well used areas but it still felt urban to me. I’m hoping to find an off leash place with long stretches for solitude and contemplation but this wasn’t it. Still a nice outing for the pup and socialization.

Love this dog park but you do have to pay state park fee plus dog park fee.

Great park for friendly dogs

My favorite dog park so far... very large with swimming areas for the dogs. You have to pay the fees. We live close so its worth the annual pass.

Followed the direction to get there, but GPS took me to a residential area with no parks around. I searched "DeKoevend Park" and took me to the right parking spot. I expected as a hike but it was more for walking and running. Busy traffic but wide trails. Great for dog walk too.

My dog loves swimming in the ponds here!!

My dogs love this off leash place! If you plan to walk daily the annual pass for state park and annual pass for dog park are well worth the money! Nice walking trail for humans. Some sections are paved. Relatively level. Great ponds for water dogs. Across the street are field training areas. The rest of the park is good for walking as well .

Perfect family friendly hike! Beautiful scenery and miles of paved, well kept trail for biking. I’ve taken my six year old on her bike and on foot and we see something new every time- she plays in the park’s nature center afterwards and has a blast. Also backs up to Breckenridge Brewery so we usually stop in for a round of corn hole, too :)

If you have a dog with too much energy this is a godsend.

Friendly dogs scamper everywhere, and there are paved and unpaved trails to keep everyone moving. Two, big swim ponds are available for dogs. Pet waste bags are provided. 60+acres of fun. Well worth the $2 day-use fee.

It's pretty epic not so much the end near beaver creek, it's an Industrial area.
Also you can just walk to the Hudsons Gardens! There is more than just a hike

Easy and convenient. Fine for strollers. If you start on Waterton Road, you can go through the pasture gate and possibly see some cows (my kid loves it when we catch them).

Beautiful area, trail goes between very fancy houses, great path, quite. Not a full escape into nature bet still refreshing. No trash cans on the path or in the parking lot

love this place. I call it the Disneyland if dogs. our dogs always enjoy it. It's nice because they have water for dogs, a place to swim and a place where humans can walk. It's a big park.

Our dogs love Chatfield dog park. It's an enclosed off-leash dog park with 3 holding ponds. There is fee to enter into Chatfield state park and another fee for use of the dog park. Please walk with a leash and bag to pick up after your dog.
