amazing. where else are there bald eagles flying overhead all hike. beautiful.

We had a great time here today. Nice easy stroll

Quick easy hike and a good view of Denver :)

Awesome! Really fun with my boyfriend and dog. Absolutely amazing views! Also just really peaceful with very few people on the trail on a Thursday. But even on a day where Denver was 74 degrees, I regretted not bringing a jacket. Also the trail was very icy and slushy in some areas. We were really glad we parked at and hiked the west trail (thanks to another review here). Will do again!

Nice beginner trail for mountain biking. It’s on the side of a hill with a cow farm next to it. Dog park below it.

The rating on this trail has been adjusted to easy. When comparing the rating of other moderates in the area, a .7 nicely built tourist trail doesnt compare to the 8+ mile round trip trails up mountains with cliff edge rocky paths. I am not putting down this BEAUTIFUL 5 star trail, however, I just wanted to adjust the difficulty level to keep it consistent with the Colorado Springs area.

I loved this trail but the climb at the end was a CLIMB. For someone who likes to stay on my feet and not use hands I didn’t do the last part. Sorta upset I didn’t get to see the cave but the hike otherwise was awesome!

Hiked 3/22, loved the forested part on the north end of the grub loop, but was still snowy! Was slipping and sliding for most of that 0.8 mile stretch, luckily had tractionwear. Potentially avoidable by taking the bonanza cut-through.

beautiful day to walk around the red rocks.

It’s cool to be near the main rocks, but this trail is very crowded. Try another trail to get more solitude.

Very easy pretty loop

Nice trail. Lots of trees and shrubs.

This is a really nice hike. Good length for a quick get away not too far from Denver. Views were beautiful but nothing that will take your breath away. Would be a great trail running trail if you can find a time when there aren’t many people around.

I have slowly fallen in love with this place over the last 9 months or so. It's a great little walk and has some incredible panoramic views of the mountains.

This was a very pretty trail to walk. It had very little elevation change, parallels the lake the whole time, and I only saw a few others on the trail. Very enjoyable!

Awesome section of the Clear Creek Train along the Wheat Ridge Greenway. Wide open spaces, narrow wooded lanes. A few bridges and pretty views of the creek. Paved and natural paths running along both sides of the creek through some woods merge onto one paved path as you come out to open space headed west. Lots to do and see!

Great view and easy going trail! We did it during winter and was incredible

Went 3/21/2018. There was still a little ice on the ground and some of the creek was frozen. Quit a lot of rock and roots in the trail make it easy to trip. It is very easy at time then other times you have knee high rocks to climb over, with a 20foot cliff on one side of you, so I feel averaging it out, moderate was a fair rating Trail seems well maintained and the road had no major issues for my jeep. Took the dog, he got tired halfway up like we did, but still worth getting to the sawmill, and then to top. At a modest pace with a few breaks on the way there and back we did it in about 3.5 hours. Would go again, but most likely just to hike halfway and camp.

If this is the lower, mid and upper Columbine Trail I got 7.74 mi and most I thought was more than just moderate.

Out and back trail, some steep parts, great short hike!
Keep your eyes peeled for Big Cats but didn’t encounter any signs.

Great hike in March, icy trails. Came across bears by the river.

My 3 year old daughter and 5 month pregnant wife did this fun trail and we saw the enormous frozen waterfall. Pretty incredible. I came back later trail running and advanced up the off trail location. (see uploaded recording). Off trail leads to an overlook and also to the end of the upper silver cascade falls cemented overlook. I do not recommend exploring off trail due to steepness and wet conditions from the waterfall.

Awesome hike. Still icey but fun.

Great hike!

This was a nice hike despite the mud/ice/snowpack when we went this weekend. I hiked it with my 3, 6, and 8 year old as well as my dog. I was concerned about the Plymouth portion being too difficult for us due to the black diamond, "most difficult" rating given on the Jeffco map. This was made a little more difficult with the trail being 10% icy, and 70% sticky slippery mud, regardless we all made it just fine albeit dirty and it was not "most difficult." Without the added conditions I would definitely say this is not a difficult trail. It was beautiful and I look forward to hiking it later this season without the added conditions.

This trail is our go to bike trail because it is close enough to bike to from home and not too long for my kiddos. as others have stated it is not a full loop. More specifically: when you get towards the northeat side you leave Quincy Reservoir through a spinning metal gate. You 'can' put bikes through here by dismounting and rolling them through upright on the back tires. We have a trailer for the littles and we got it through but had to take them out and detatch it from the bike. then you have to ride/walk along Quincy Ave which is fairly steep to get back up to the parking area. I much prefer the out and back path due to this. Also note this is only open March-October. You also have to pay to park there or buy a season pass. I would recommend it for people nearby who can walk/ride in, or for fishing.

Gorgeous snowy hike/walk on March 20. It took me longer than expected but it was so peaceful and I only saw one other person the whole time. So it was well worth the drive. Very majestic. Highly recommend it.

Hiked today 3/20. The trail from the rock steps up was very icy and micro spikes were very helpful. I ran into many people who turned back because of the ice. It’s a great trail and the arch is really nice with great views.
Difficult but definitely worth it.
