This is a nice steady incline hike. Very kid friendly, well maintained, mile markers on trail, falls at the top and the option to loop around the lake back down. Lots of beautiful flowers, plenty of wildlife, dog friendly and stellar views. There is NO FEE to hike or park, ample parking and easy to find. If you need a map, just go into the main building on the left hand side as you enter the YMCA and Snow Mountain Ranch and ask the front desk for the trail map to the falls, very friendly.
We live here, but a great starter trail for others to acclimate to the elevation. Stay hydrated and enjoy the views!

We only made it to the creek where my family placed colorful rocks in the shape of a heart in remembrance of our angel baby Maverick. It was a magical experience.

This was a great trail for my 7 and 4 year old kids. The perfect length, nothing too strenuous and a great reward at the end. The waterfall is just beautiful. The trail is pretty sunny, the Larson side is much shadier. We saw several bird species, squirrels, chipmunks and even a porcupine. The wildflowers were beautiful! Well maintained trail, easy to read and follow, bathrooms at the trailhead. We had no issue parking but it was a bit of a colder day, the lot is small so I can see it getting crowded sometimes.

This is an easy walk. We weren’t able to complete the loop because we ran out of time. If you go 1.7 miles past the eastern trailhead to the camp ground trailhead, it cuts off the timber slag area that is rather uninteresting.

7/8 road to the trailhead is closed due to fires in the area. Beautiful drive up to the road closure though, abundant wildflowers with a few Columbine!

Nicely maintained but entrance pass to snow mountain ranch to hike on their property was $20/person if you are not staying there

Nice, easy hike for families with a pretty falls. you also get some views of distant mountains on the way back.

Easy hike with a beautiful waterfall at the end. There was a little snow and some mud in spots. The only bad thing was the trail start was hard to find for my group.

Good quick beginner hike. My group used it as a test to acclimate ourselves to the elevation. There was some snow and played a little game of snowball baseball.

A network of many trails in this area, many intersections to keep choosing from. Nice easy trails to relax on. One though had several downed trees at the end of May. Lots of shade. Great views when the trees clear.

Easy hike ending at a beautiful waterfall. The last part of the trail was still partially covered with snow. Seems well maintained though.

A beautiful, relatively flat trail. I hiked without skis or snow shoes. Paths are worn enough. The loop shown isn’t totally navigable this time of year. I had to double back to find a used path across the river. Still a good trail!

We took someone new to backcountry skiing. He is an intermediate/advanced skier downhill. He had a good time on this trail. I suggest taking it clockwise, because you go uphill through the more technical turns at the NE part of the trail. This trail follows mainly the flume trail and the creekside trail. The trail stays fairly interesting for something with low elevation change.

Fun for all and four legged family!

7-5-15- MB/RB; Starts along Fraser trail/ Rendevous development. It's not marked well so hard to follow when it crosses roads where to connect again. It's used by bikers too so makes hiking difficult on narrow/ moderately steep path.

7-17-15- k mo; Or known as "the bench" trail by locals. It can start or end by campground and / or park up from campground and walk along creek over foot bridge to start. You can go up and back or it connects and circles around by campground/ road partial.

Great hike. It took us a little over 2 hours to get to the lake. That was at a leisurely pace with a few stops. Trail is well maintained and diverse. A few steep sections. Not easy for those who are from low altitude. We live at 8500'. Lots of fish in the lake. Years ago we tried fishing it but the fish wouldn't bite. Beautiful wildflowers, mushrooms, very old spruce trees. So peaceful with the creek near the trail most of the way.

Wonderful hike!! Directions to trailhead are a bit off. 9 miles from county road 3 on Church Park road. 4 miles from fork. Definitely need a 4W vehicle to get to trailhead. Plenty of shade along trail.

It's a primarily dirt hard surface close to town. Makes it easy to get to and has a nice little climb
To good views of the valley and Fraser river. It's sort of in and around the Rendevouz development so it loses some points for not feeling remote at all. A good choice for some quick miles within a close drive of Fraser and winter park.

It was fun!! Would do it again!

The road up there is a bit rough; I would be weary of bringing a car up there. But.. B.e.a.u.tiful hike! It is straight vertical to the lake, so half of the hike is a pretty steep climb. However, it's absolutely gorgeous with streams and small waterfalls around every corner. The lake is not deep, if you want to swim, but I would recommend water shoes or hiking sandals to wade over the slippery rocks (and potential fishing hooks!). BRING mosquito repellent!!!!

Great bike trail and walking trail however I would not hike here if you are looking for a moderate level...I would say this should be classified as easy. Really pretty trail...lots of tall trees.

We were ready for a fairly flat hike and this fit the bill, however the down trees throughout the hike really ruined it. Take one of the other trails that connect to this one to get a much more scenic path.

Nice hike with a few secret trails.

This is a lovely loop trail, not too difficult, combination of creekside, forest, and meadow stretches. It is very popular with mountain bikers, so it loses a star for that (but the flip side, is that it is excellent for mountain biking!) Pretty much all the trails in this area are similar, insofar as they are not that difficult (no serious elevation changes) and are very pleasant, but are mostly used by mountain bikers.

This was a very nice hike although we did not make it up to the lake. At the beginning of the trail a portion of the log bridge has been washed out, the trail became difficult to follow due to lingering snow pack. There were also downed trees in several places across the trail. There were a lot of signs of moose in the area so keep your eyes peeled. A four wheel drive or vehicle with some clearance is needed for the road up as it is pretty rough. We will be trying this one again once it thaws a bit more.

Don't try this without some heavy 4wd...Hike is mostly deep trees with a pretty underwhelming lake at the top. Only view is of the small lake. Still some snow pack at the top, bring your gaiters.
