Great trail. It had lots of different walkoffs down into the cherry creek. My and my wife were able to complete it with out 6month old and 5 year old. So it is very kid friendly. Very shaded at the start, but once you get down into the lower portion of the hike around the river not too much shade very often.

It was a good trail. Cost $9 to enter the park. I recommend going AS SOON AS IT OPENS! (Which is 8:00 am) We showed up at 8:35 and we waited in line for almost 30 minutes. The trail itself isn’t terrible. The way back to the parking lot was a little steep but not too bad.

5/23/20. Beautiful weather. No rain/snow/mud. Wonderful inner loop. As compared to most trails in the RMNP, this is a breeze. Toughest part of the trail would be the incline to the Rim Trail. Pushes uphill in a rather short distance, but very doable. Does not demand a ton of gear. You’ll see a lot of kids and older hikers. Some incline/decline around the dam, but pretty flat/easy trails.

Too busy on a Saturday afternoon to get all that you can from this park. Little caves along the stream to look at.

Nice hike for it being in our backyard.

Great for kids. Beautiful!

Not a lot of shade (which is unfortunate for my husky), but there was a small Creek we stopped at for him to soak in for a bit. Overall, a beautiful hike! Make sure to show up early for parking- it’s $9!

Went on Sunday. We went in the morning started at 8. Barely anyone was there. It was a great trail to open up the hiking season to. Had 2 kids who also loved it. Gets VERY busy in the afternoon. Upon leaving at 1230 pm, the cars were lined up almost to the main entrance off of Parker Rd. Somewhat rocky but very manageable.

Super easy overall. Not a bad hike with some killer views up top. Sometimes the trail gets lost so be prepared to back track a little. But really not a bad hike at all. Kid friendly, relatively short, and a cool little bit of water.

Steep, rocky trail along cliff base. Mostly wooded, lots of scrambling on rocks. Good if you want to get close to the rocks, but not the best views of the canyon; I prefer Rimrock for that. Note that the trail map grades this trail difficult, not easy.

The trail itself with cool. Lots of different things to enjoy. I would say it was easy-moderate. Lots of groups of families all along the trail and not much social distancing. $9 fee to get it and people were getting out of their cars and cutting those waiting in line in their cars. Waterfall is pretty but it’s from a distance. Views from the top are flat. Can hardly see big mountains in the distance. Lots of pretty wildflowers.

Aloha inter webs, Good walk from the Farm Lane trail head with a nice heart pumping section up to the top of the mesa and I always enjoy the South side of the loop at the top of the mesa. It was a little rainy today so I was surprised to see so many bikers but everyone was respectful and practicing social distancing. If you happen to be a Pokemon Go player their are 3 stops and a gym at the Farm Lane trail head parking lot. #letsgoforawalk

Enjoyed a very pleasant and leisurely hike of this loop as published (with the exception of having done it clockwise instead of counter clockwise). There is good signage explaining the historical ruins during the first half mile (Homestead Trail) of the loop and, again, when one reaches the ruins of the old dam, so definitely worth taking one's time to take everything in. When the Visitor Center opens up (near the East Entrance), there is a good film (which I saw on a previous trip) giving the history of the dam, which is well worth the extra 20-30 minutes to see.

Short, scenic trail. Good trail conditions, no mud.

Easy, beautiful hike that takes you through several different landscapes.

Got to the trail at about 9 o’clock on a Wednesday and there was maybe 20 other people in the parking lot. I finished about 12 and the parking lot was about 3/4 of the ya full and the trail got much busier. It’s a good hike for younger kids because they can play in the water and you could cut the hike in half if you needed too.
