Great easy hike with a great view of Horsetooth at the end. Went on Sunday afternoon and it wasn’t crowded at all. Passed by a few people and bikers, but everyone was very courteous. Took my dog and she made it out and back with no issue.

This is a great, easy and simple hike. If I had to do it again, I would access it via Michaud street vs Overland because the extra walk on the flat windy plain wasn’t really worth it. In the winter the switchbacks aren’t always visible so we ended up making almost a full second loop, but it was easy to get back on track. The view once you crest the ridge is spectacular looking down on the northern end of Horsetooth and seeing the north dam. It is windy and exposed here so plan accordingly.

Nice easy Valentine's day hike. I only like this hike in the winter month when there are no snakes. We did see a herd of deer which added to the nice little hike.

Great hike. A bit wet and muddy but incredible views and dog friendly. Beware of Mountain Lions or go hiking with Travis Kauffman.

Nice hike yesterday! Didn’t see any mountain lions, so that was good. Saw many prairie dogs and four deer! Only a slight bit of snow near top of hike. Beautiful views of Horsetooth at top!!!

The first half or so is the Arthur's Rock trail, and probably on the easier side of hard. The view at the top is worth it. Howard's Loop is moderate at most, and more mundane. If you want a difficult hike, just do Arthur's Rock. When we went most of the trail was snow covered, but very little snow pack or ice. Wear boots.

Lots of snow on the ground. Started when it was 9F . Song sparrow, a kestrel, r t hawk, n harrier, d e junco, a goldfinch, h finch and b c chickadee, killdeer, n flicker

My go to for a sweet combo of trail running and rock scrambling !

Nice short, easy hike! Took my 3 year old and he loved it!

I love this trail for good memories. It was my 1st in Fort Collins when I moved here. Nice view of the city and alwyas busy. I go there often for a relaxing hike

Outstanding hike with amazing views! This trail gets pretty intense at some points, especially with the mud and snowpack, so be careful. Views are well worth the sweat, so push through!!

great easy hike to the "A". Plenty of people and bikes but everyone was curtious and respectful of space. The views of horsetooth and ft Collins were awesome!

Flat, easy, close to Walmart and Costco. Perfect place to go when your wife needs to go shopping and you don't want to.

Both parking lots full before 10 AM. Doesn’t matter what time of the year, you have to be there EARLY on the weekends!

Beautiful trail, moderately trafficked. Loved the hundreds/thousands of prairie dogs. Watch out for horse droppings. Trail needs more garbage bins/receptacles. Noticed lots of dog poop bags thrown to the sides of the trail.

Not a lot of parking. We got back down and a ranger was writing tickets to cars not in parking spots. But nice little hike.

Variable conditions this beautiful Feb 1. Snow on the backside, especially once the singletrack begins. Slush, puddles, mud and dry. Packed melting snow made for some slippery conditions, bikers beware.
That being said, it was beyond wonderful to get out and very manageable for a sure-footed hiker!!

Hiked to the top of the Horsetooth today. What a beautiful hike. On the way up you’ll get wonderful views of Fort Collins, the reservoir and the plains, and once you reach the top you’ll get great views of Longs Peak and the Rockies. If it’s clear enough you can even see Pikes Peak in the south. It’s icy below the tooth, so be prepared to butt-slide in a couple of places on your way down. It’s still passable without spikes, but just watch your step when you get within spitting distance of the tooth.

High traffic trail. Majority of the trail is covered with snow, spikes or trekking poles would be helpful. Nice views.

Nice for hiking, but mostly for mountain bikers.

Cold with lots of snow on the ground. Saw Canada geese, cackling geese, widgeon, mallard, belted kingfisher, and song sparrow.

Was moderate. Only a couple of steep areas up to the falls. Only went to the top part of the falls can’t see much from there but the pool where the fall starts. Didn’t get to Horsetooth rock. Will try that later. Saw stellar jay, magpie and raven.
