Easy walk/hike around a reservoir. Lots of milk weed and prairie dogs to look at. A little buggy and muddy in spots.

Nice in town nature trail. It was easy peasy. Go early as it gets hot .

We pedaled more than the total listed as we made a pitstop off the trail for a mid afternoon brew and snack. The trail is well maintained and an easy ride. Friendly passers by and gorgeous weather today. We brought an 8-year-old and he rocked the distance.

Its a cute walk! No shade on Northern side, so hit that first, but western side has some off-trail spots that lead into the cattails and right up to the lake. Thats where the magic is! Bring shoes you can get muddy!!!

We didn’t see any snakes, but at one point the trail got kind of narrow and I was scared. But it’s a great walking/ running trail!

One of my favorite places around Fort Collins to bring my pup for a walk + swimming! Well maintained and fun to explore. Lots of opportunities along the path for dogs to swim or just cool down.

Nice short hike with some elevation change, but sadly, this time of the year the falls were bone dry. Still gorgeous and green out, though.

Nothing special about the first part of this hike. Nice views from the overlook, though! Great spot to sit down and relax for awhile.

A nice little bit of nature right in town. There are both paved and unpaved trails. Dogs are welcome, but not allowed to swim. when I was there someone got a stern warning for letting her dog off leash to swim.

A perfect level for my 5 and 3.5 year olds. There were plenty of spots of interest along the trail to keep the kids interested (fallen logs to climb, bridges, the river, and a little shelter build from fallen branches near the end of the loop).

I went on a Friday mid day and had most of the place to myself. Nice little area with lots of birds and great views of the mountains. Go to the right fork of Cattail trail loop for best views on return.

This is a must if you’re in Fort Collins just bc it’s so integral to the town! It’s quite clean and well-paved. There are provided poop bags for dogs, lots of bikes and amazing access to a gorgeous, clear, cold river! Can be heavily trafficked. A really special place in Fort Collins to from residential area and old town to a bit of natural paradise.

Love walking here; pretty much all flat, some lovely clear water and lots of wildlife to keep an eye out for! Lots of people fishing. If there isn’t wind, prepare for the bugs. We enjoy walking the boardwalk in the middle of the water! Great local getaway.

Great easy loop right outside of FC that is fun for jogging, dogs, seeing some prairie dogs, etc! Not a lot of shade. Free parking options on either side.
