Super well-marked, fun trail to run. The elevation gain is gradual enough that it's a good workout, but not killer. Trail is really rocky in some sections, though, which makes running a little more hazardous, but not impossible.

Great hike for winter! Beautiful views with lots of warm sun. No dogs, but fun for kids on bikes. Little steep at times but overall great for the entire fam!

This was my first Colorado trail. I took my 4 year old boy so needed a small trail so I picked this one. Very flat and although it’s the middle of January, we had to remove our jackets. We saw grassland, rivers and even 5 deer. Very pretty and not too busy. I would have given this trail 5 stars but as I walked in and out all you could smell was the water treatment plant which is right next to the trail. It was very bad. Not sure if it’s always this bad so just keep that in mind.

great day. Busy but, good. I will be back.☺

No dogs allowed. Easy enough hike with decent views. Better hikes that allow my dog though.

Easy trail in Fort Collins that loops. Has some great views to the river and informative signs about wildlife and environment along the path. Dogs aren’t allowed!

Wonderful trail for toddlers. Stroller accessible if you have good wheels. We saw lots of ducks, geese, an eagle, a hawk, and prairie dogs. No dogs allowed. Usually closed mid November to March for bald eagle roosting but happened to still be open today.

I was really excited to walk the trails with my puppy but since there was no mention of no dogs allowed until getting into it, we weren’t able to go on it.

great trail to run one of my favorites.

Great walk for kids! Plenty to explore-beaver habitat, tall grass meadows, and river critters! We will do this one over and over to see the seasons change!

Cute little trail that's nice in the mornings and evenings (to avoid the sun). No shade, but very nice views and wildlife. A little bit rocky but most of the trail is well maintained and good for beginners or kiddos.

Nice surface to walk - a challenging slope at times. was thankful for the shade of the ridge on the last stretch up. the only wildlife I saw were the prairie dogs in the first part of the trail.

Pretty steep near the end, fun trail though. Definitely be ready for some cardio

Nice workout and great front range views.

Low intensity hike. The scenery is beautiful, but there is no shade so bring lots of water and sun screen! I saw two rattle snakes while hiking. Also they’re plenty of mountain bikers, so be cautious.

Great riding! Challenging climbs but fun and fast downhill

Fun little trail with beautiful views at the top of the ridge and the while way up. Snakes are plentiful but I’ve only spoken to people who have seen them- I have yet to see one. We saw mule deer mom and fawns. Many wildflowers. Beautiful rises and ridges. Great hike with kiddos or older folks too.

Worth the drive.

Trail signage could use improvement.

Decent trail, good workout on a bike, didn’t make it through the whole thing but enjoyed the bike up! Very rocky though, will definitely being going back to finish the whole thing.

Nice trail close to home. Great views of the Front Range. Rocky, no shade. Connects to many other trails. Saw mule deer.

Loved the hike with my family, 3 generations hiked together and we are all at different skill levels! It is amazing for family and anyone who wants to enjoy a simpler hike!

This is a great hike! Last time I tried to do this trail it was way way too muddy about halfway up. But today it was perfect! I went around noon and was out for a couple hours, my tracker said 4.5 miles by the time I got back to the car. Make sure to wear sunscreen as there is no tree cover and bring lots of water. It was about 90 degrees today and sunny but I still enjoyed the hike! Pretty easy hike with lots of flat areas and a few hogbacks. Great 360 view at the top!
