My girlfriend and I loved it! If you’re looking for water falls there were none this time of year (August) took is 6.9 Miles to do the whole thing

Disappointing- I was excited to see a trail within walking distance from my house but I don;t think I will be going back. No great views, crowded and TONS of aggressive/rude bikers and runners! Wish more people had trail etiquette but that seems to be disappearing with the more people that crowd our local trails. I don't think I would even consider this a hiking trail. If you want a decent hike check out any other trails in the area and you will probably have a better adventure.

We thought we were doing the easier Kreutzer trail as there are two entrance points in the picnic area that you can get on the trail. It was a bit difficult for my 8 and 10 yr olds. Lots of burned and beetle kill trees. We will come back for the easier trail and the kids can build up their strength for the harder one.

Nice workout and great front range views.

Great loops with cool breeze off the ponds! Easy walk close to town, will def come back!

Low intensity hike. The scenery is beautiful, but there is no shade so bring lots of water and sun screen! I saw two rattle snakes while hiking. Also they’re plenty of mountain bikers, so be cautious.

Beautiful hike! The view is amazing

I like this trail, but I logged about 6 miles instead of 4.8 like it says. Just be aware!

Absolutely fantastic. Wonderful hike with rewarding scenes and serenity from top of the tooth. Lots of people in the parking lot, nobody on top. Everyone scattering could have been due to periods of heavy rain and maaaybe some lightning. Stayed away from summit until storm cleared. Spectacular!

Great for what it is. And that’s a nice hike, with a nice view, that’s close to town. Go on a weekday, otherwise you’ll be fighting the crowd. I went in a Thursday and it was still busy. Lots of mountain bikers on the trail.

Ps I moved to CO from FL about 10 days ago and having been trying to adjust to the elevation. My dog and I struggled on the way up with this one. Be sure to bring lots of water for you and your furry friend if you’re new to this elevation!

Great riding! Challenging climbs but fun and fast downhill

Mileage on the All Trails app is inaccurate, it is closer to 5.2 miles. Counterclockwise, the descent is challenging and slippery and steep. If we do it again we will go clockwise so we can have a calmer and more enjoyable descent. $6 to park. Bring lots of water, sunscreen, a hat and rain gear. Leave the dog home so you don’t annoy other people on the descent.

Great hike for kids but much better in the Spring. We didn’t do the loop, only to the base of the falls for a snack, then to the top of the falls and back down. 2.6 miles round trip. My two boys are not strong hikers. I carried my 5 year old for a bit of the hike back and my 6 year old was moving slow. We saw a lot of wild flowers and a few birds. This time of year (Aug 1) the falls are only a trickle. There is very little shade until you get to the falls so go early.

Fun little trail with beautiful views at the top of the ridge and the while way up. Snakes are plentiful but I’ve only spoken to people who have seen them- I have yet to see one. We saw mule deer mom and fawns. Many wildflowers. Beautiful rises and ridges. Great hike with kiddos or older folks too.

Did this trail about a week ago with a large group and absolutely loved it. Trail isn't too difficult until the very end going up the actual rock which requires a very small amount of climbing.

We did encounter a medium sized rattlesnake on the trail as well, so be on the lookout. The area is full of toads and deer as well.

The top of horsetooth was truly breathtaking. It offers a nearly 360 degree view of everything and the sunset was gorgeous. Definitely worth it for an evening hike, just bring a headlamp for the return trip. For some people there was no cell service, so if you're an out of towner like me, make sure you have a ride arranged prior to hiking, or at least someone who can hotspot you. Would love to go back for a sunrise hike!

It was beautiful, it didn’t take long to do. I wouldn’t get excited if you planned on seeing a waterfall, it’s more like the leaky hose someone mentioned before... but views are worth it.

Nice run.

Worth the drive.

Trail signage could use improvement.

First off road trip in Colorado. Went in my 98 TJ with stock suspension and 31in mud terrains. It was very challenging but doable. Took a few scrapes to the bottom but no real damage.

Great trails leading to Horsetooth mountain peak and great views! The waterfall this time of year isn’t full but a great hike round trip was 6.5 miles

Great trails and amazing views. Doesn't take too long if you keep a good pace.

The kids loved this hike, and what a treat to take a dip in the lake! Monday morning and the trail was empty. Saw a deer, lots of coyote scat, and many dragon flies. It’s pretty sunny with little opportunities for shade, so pack the sunscreen and water! The campground by the lake was unfortunately a mess, the previous campers did not do their part in keeping it clean, it’s too bad!

the scenery was very pretty, but we had actually gone to see the waterfall. unfortunately it look like somebody was running a water hose over a rock.

Took two ATVs at the end of June. Heart Attack Hill lived up to its name. Check out our YouTube video going through the chutes. We took the trail start to finish. Amazing variety of butterflies and a good mix of terrain. Saw a lot of mountain lion scat on the trail at the top.

Great trail! First 3/4 mile is pretty flat. Then it starts with switch backs and some incline. Have done this multiple times with kids, dogs, and girl scouts. The view at the top is wonderful! No shade until you get to the top be sure to bring water

Great cardio workout. Steep incline. the primitive trail on the way down was a bit scary. Look for the rock markers to know you are going to right way. I had my dogs with me but had I known the way down was primitive trail I would have gone down the way I came up. That trail was very well done. No one else was out on the trail when we went. Lots of great views. Not much shade.
