The Devil’s elbow section was all snow and ice, so a bit of a challenge but still beautiful. Went on a weekday morning and barely saw other people throughout the hike.

3/25/19- Great hike and great views. Compact snow/ice the entire way but easy in hiking boots.

After doing research on this trail my boyfriend and I thought it would be a good hike. We packed for every possibility and we were excited to go out for the first hike of the year, but what we got was an icy, slushy, muddy mess. The trail would oftentimes be on the edge of a cliff and covered in ultra slick ice. It is more like a rat maze instead of a trail due to the unmarked paths. 10/10 do not recommend

Beautiful views at Brother’s Lookout. Some icy patches but no real issues without microspikes.

love this trail and views at the end are amazing . super snowy and icy right now tho I had to call it quits early even with good hiking boots

it was a bit icy but slowed down and make it without much problems. would be weary with ice if you have small children.

Beautiful hike and relatively easy besides the ice. Did not have spikes and it got pretty brutal. Waterfall was frozen but still had gorgeous views.

This trail was pretty great! We did veer off a bit, going out & back instead of a loop. Overall, conditions weren't the greatest - a lot of packed snow, slush, and mud. Be prepared for that if you're going to be there within the next few weeks! Regardless of the conditions, it was a great sunny day and we caught a great view from Brother's Lookout! Would definitely do again!

Patches of snow, but not bad. There were only a few areas of mud that could be avoided.

great trail to do with people visiting from lower altitude! muddy/icey/snowy in some spots but regular hiking shoes worked just fine! only took about an hour to get to the top and the view is amazing! got to see some nice house along the way!

My wife and I did the Meadow View to Sleepy S trail loop on Saturday trying to dodge the forecasted rain showers. The Meadow View trail was fairly easy with some switchbacks though there were some icy patches. Trail runners were using mircos and some hikers had trekking poles but I didn't find them necessary. The Sleepy S trail got a little more muddy than I expected, but you could skirt a lot of the soupy parts without going off-trail. It was busy but you could quickly get away from the pack of people. Overall the trail was nice, but I'd wished there was a little more "Meadow" to be viewed from meadow view, I was hoping to see some criters!

A peaceful walk in the woods. Barely ran into anyone else on the trail. I didn't bring my yaktraks and that was a mistake! Definitely still some icy/snowy sections. We did come across a freshly killed deer. So, I would recommend keeping your pups close from any larger critters out there.

Supper slushee and slippery with all the sun we’ve been getting. Still wonderful and good views

Covered with compact snow and a little ice but hike was great and my dog loved it

Did this loop this morning, 3/21/19. 99% of the trail is snow packed, which was fine just with boots. Once the sun came out, things got a little slippery and slushy, so go early! Muddy at the lower areas.

Fun trail. Not very hard but so many different ways to go on these trails.

The trail is still packed down so it got slippery a couple times but I made it fine without spikes or the like. I would consider this trail a light moderate. Without the snow I might have felt like a stroll in the park. The view at the top is good but some houses are up there which kinda sucks but that’s me.

lots of snow and slush on the trail.

As of 3/17/19 the north loop was well packed and easily doable with spikes. The south loop was not as well packed but still doable. It was warming up as I finished and starting to turn very slushy.

Great for trail running

3.17.19 - snow packed. Didn’t use yaktracks but can see how some might. Started to be a bit slippery as it was warming up. Always a great hike.

Muddy/slushy but didn't need traction.

Parked at Stagecoach TH and the trail was well packed down. We did the entire trail with trax or spikes and didn't need snow shoes at all - would definitely recommend some kind of traction devices though.

Very slushy once it thaws. Need snowshoes for some parts up higher.

Great trail for snowshoeing. It’s tough though, the snow in about knee deep and you are hiking uphill the majority of the time.

Hiked early with spikes and no snowshoes. Trail was frozen at the beginning of the hike but it was misshapen so it was an ankle twister. Trail had been broken but snow got deeper as we climbed and clumps of snow kept sticking to our spikes so it was more ankle twisting. Then it was slushy and muddy at the end when we were back down, so more ankle twisting. Would have started much earlier and brought snowshoes had I been smarter! Trail was not very busy but the parking lot was full when we were done at noon.

Super snowy, but mostly packed along the loop. There were folks snowshoeing, but I did just fine in my boots. I brought my spikes with, but didn't end up needing them. A few fat tire bikes out there, and limited crowd. Gorgeous day!
