It’s a very enjoyable hike providing panoramic views in certain places. Not too rocky and the insect factor has been negligible on the two I’ve done so far. Classic high desert flora with a few short inclines to get the blood pumping. Stay alert for riders in both directions.

This trail is used predominantly by mountain bikers so this nice walk was sometimes interrupted by the need to jump out of the way. The 300+ foot ascent happens mostly in climbing the first ridge but after that it's a comfortable series of rolling walks, largely through wooded glens. And it smelled fabulous kind of like wood baking in the sun.

There are a few hikes with trailheads in the immediate area. You'll want to park in the section of the lot furthest from the Eagle Ice Rink and Pool building to find the Haymaker trailhead.

Great single track. Mostly uphill the first 3-4miles, great workout. Downhill is fast and fun

Great quick trail. Needs more signs. Sometimes is not very easy to know where you are and where you are going.

Redneck Ridge was awesome and not so busy, my few minutes on Boneyard we’re full of moving over for bikers.
I went straight up to the right of Boneyard at the bottom, met up with the road for a bit and then hopped onto the inner trail to the top. Took same trail down and stayed left at “detour” onto ridge. Only 2 runners and 2 bikers passed me on the way down, nice and quiet.

Would love to come back and bike the ridge!!

No watering points so not really a great dog hike.

This trail was really nice! Definitely seems more suited to mountain bikers so if that's your activity of choice, this is a great place to do so! I hiked it and Boneyard has a nice gradual incline with lots of switchbacks. You get some nice views to the east and south/SE but a lot is in the little forest. The parking lot at the bottom is pretty small (maybe 7 cars) and no facilities. I also caught a glimpse of a sign that mentioned something about maybe no parking on street but didn't see exactly what it said. A great little afternoon outing though!

We did this as a morning hike before flying out of Eagle. The trail is easy to find although I would probably give it an easy rather than moderate rating as it was mostly flat. This seems like it would be more entertaining to mountain bike.Overall it was okay, took us about 70 minutes to do the loop.

3/5 for hiking, 5/5 for bikes. Haymaker provides a wonderful view of the town of Eagle, CO as you ascend the slope. The trail is primarily for mountain biking. The tracks are well defined with many challenging curves, not for your average biker! Hiking wise, the ascent is not bad at all and the trail short. For people on foot, I would recommend it for travelers looking for a quick foot trip as they pass through town or runners and their pets.
