Easy, well-marked trail with great scenery.

Easy hike with rewarding high views of Dinosaur National Park. I would advise a bit of caution if you're not good with heights, but most of the drop off areas have railing for protection. I encourage you to get a pamphlet at the trailhead if one is available, they hold interesting information about what you will be seeing at the numbered trail markers along the way.

This trail was exactly as billed. Yes a long but mostly scenic drive (with several overlooks to stop) from the highway. The trail is worth it. Easy hiking with some simple inclines. Some shade depending on time of day. Lovely trees. And great views starting after marker 4. The $1 guide is interesting especially for a family. Saw a mule deer on the drive. Could be combined with a drive to the Echo Park campground for the below view.

Nice little walk. Drive down was a little daunting as I took my Jetta down but made it with no problem as far as the clearance but lots of rumble-strip like patches that make for slow going. Also the steep switch backs the first two-ish miles are a challenge but I’m still here. Unless there’s bad weather don’t let the signs discourage you

Best trail, super easy and best reward even compared to some peaks I’ve hiked. Someone...was returning from beyond the fence when I got to the end, said it stayed pretty wide and sturdy for a while longer with MUCH better panoramic views of the rivers

Holy smokes! The views of the Green River to the west and Echo Park to the east are breathtaking. Seeing steamboat and Jenny Lind rock from this vantage point really gives you such perspective (especially if you take the precarious drive down to Echo). You are high up on the mesa/cliffs- there are extremely steep slopes on both sides of the trail as you head out to the the overlook area (that section is fenced). You would want to take precautions and keep a close watch if you have younger children with you. I did this trail in mid-July, temperature was around 98-99 that day and I felt it with every step. I think the trail would be fairly easy if it wasn't such a scorcher. I took my 7-year old (the heat really bothered her), a 12-year old but for the most part they managed with little difficulty. It's a long drive to get to the trail head, but so worth it. The views!!

It’s a long drive to get to the trailhead, but this trail is very much worth it. I took my 6 year old (along with a husband, 10 & 13 years olds too), and he handled it easily. Lots of photo opps, it has lots of stunning views! Well worth the drive in!

Great hike, gorgeous overlook at the end. You walk along a ridge with great views of two beautiful canyons to your left and right. Definately worth the drive and hike. Some sections are very steep, you may want to hold on to small children, especially near the end. Went in the morning and didn't see any other hikers till the return trip at about 10 AM.

Saw it again. I don't usually do double completions but somehow I deleted out my first one.

Spectacular views of the Green River, Echo Park, and Yampa Bench. We watched a group of rafters make their way down the Green.

Great hike, even in the heat. Lots of raptors to see (no, not the dinosaurs ;-) and plenty of breathtaking vistas. Buggy as all get-out, so bring insect repellent or risk inhaling mosquitos!

Canyons doesn't get as much traffic as the Quarry, so picturesque solitude may be yours if you're lucky.

Magnificent area. Breathtaking views. Bring swim attire and cool off in the Green River. Just be careful with the current. The water is murky with all the silt as well. The Whispering Cave gives you a cool breeze once you step into the narrow passage way.

Wonderful place. Be sure and cool of in the Wind Cave, a gigantic slab of sandstone standing separate from the canyon wall. Watch for petroglyphs in the narrows. The huge rock across the river is called Steamboat rock. Consider hiking to Harpers Corner on this trip and perhaps the Yampa Bench road.

This one holds lots of memories. Lots of history and a good trip to add to a ride to Echo Park or Harper's Corner. Those would be the main feature, but this ride is great.
