Did this hike on an overcast July morning and loved it. Not too strenuous with nice views. Nothing incredibly special, but still a nice little hike.

great little hike. on our way up the pass, greeted by hard of big horn sheep. you can actually walk a look larger around the bigger lake too.

The trail where bikers are not permitted is quite nice. The water is crystal clear and the views of the mountains are breathtaking. The trail is very easy to access as well as easy to hike. Although jt’s a beautiful hike, I personally enjoy views that don’t include power lines and major roadways. For where it’s located, it’s a great hike and worth it.

Very nice walk. Lots of flowers and easy to get to. Worth the drive.

The directions are not accurate to the trailhead. Use the gps on the trail map to find the actual parking area. Great hike for dogs, there is water at least 60% of the time. Only downside is that you can hear I 70 2/3 of the way

Favorite local trail, hike it a couple times of week just to escape. Great views of the lake and mountains, very quiet for being close to town!

Beautiful hike through meadows with lots of mountain flowers, crossing the stream several times. Steep scramble at the top to get to the lake.

3 hours to lake. 2 hours back, ish.
A tough one! Bring enough water.
Absolutely loved this hike!

My wife and 4 kids are here for a couple of weeks and love to hike easy trials. Had not done this one yet. We really loved it. Took about an hour or less with stopping for pics etc.

One thing though...use this app to find your way down. We have hiked quite a bit over the years but still managed to get turned around on the way down. We spoke with other hikers who did the same thing. The map feature on this trails app helped get us back to the van. No danger, just a little turned around. Follow along with the app and you’ll be fine. Or just pay attention when you go up! BUT - a sign or two would be nice.

We loved it and will be doing it again.

we liked it for it being a smaller camp site. it has a variety of hiking trails and 4x4 trails the camp sites are beautiful.

Red Cone pass is open but webster is not going south.

Stunning with wonderful wildflowers.

It was on the shorter side actually clocked 3.5O miles. Pretty easy. Felt like I could do more. That's the only reason not 5 stars. Beautiful scenery.

Easy hike but SO beautiful

Beautiful. Wildflowers almost at peak. Not too windy and no snow on trail.

Very easy hike with absolutely beautiful views. It’s pretty chilly and windy at this altitude, so definitely wear layers. The hike was easy enough for my 4yo daughter and I carried my 2yo on my back, if that’s any indication. We hiked July 1, 2018.
I rated five stars because the views payoff for minimal effort is unbeatable. Loved it.

Super easy, took friends from MS. Nice flowers, vistas & water.

Nice wide trail. Views! Wildflowers. Easy incline. The dogs loved it!

Beautiful wildflowers. Easy hike. Still deep water over a portion of a trail looping one of the lakes today.

Great trail for kids and an easy adjustment to the altitude.

I did this hike twice last year. The first time I got a little lost and veered right onto a different trail that goes toward gray's peak. The second time I didn't veer right and stayed left on the trail and there was the chihuahua gulch sign. The water was so blue and breath taking!! I highly recommend this hike to anyone. I will say if hiking sandals are your thing, this hike is perfect for them. You cross the river a few times. The road up was a little rocky but my car made it up(not 4wd).

This isn't the trail to chihuahua lake...you end up in a gulch (ruby?) pretty but no lake...you start on 263 but there's an off shoot trail to SW you must take to get to lake...wish someone would put a cairn there...I couldn't find it...bring a very good map to get to lake

Ok trail, incline all the way up. Very windy at the lake. Bring a jacket.

I’m obese and out of shape so this trail was perfect. I got a workout heading up the trail but not so much that I was miserable. If you are looking for an easy trail or have small kids this is perfect. Great views.

A little muddy but a good hike :)

Cool little hike. Took a 7 and 10 year old. While they complained a bit about the “uphill” portions, they had a great time exploring the trail, woods, and views.

Great first day in the mountains, hike. Beautiful scenery.

Amazing views--especially from the top. Few small areas of snow to cross--but done easily. First 1/2 mile intense, but levels out after that.

This is an easy trail/walk with consistant footing. Very nice views. Would be good in the fall since there are Aspen in several locaions along the way. River sounds, birds, interesting mine tailings and remnants of mine activity. Good for kids and people not in the greatest of shape.

We started at Meadows Trail from parking lot on Highway 6, then Crosscut up to Ridge Trail where picture was taken.
