We hiked partway up this trail on July 6. We got on this trail from Peru Creek, which is a gravel road. We hiked 2 miles up the road first- don't do that if you don't have to. We should've driven up and parked.
The trail is steep at first, but travels through some interesting landscapes of pine, boulders, and an aspen grove. We only made it to the first viewpoint, a big bowl looking out over the reservoir and valley. Very worth it, though. Next time I'd like to make it above treeline.
The only traffic we ran into was mountain bikers coming downhill from A-Basin. Some of the curves are pretty sharp, so keep an ear and an eye out for everyone's safety. Some footing was loose and dusty, so wear sturdy footwear.

My family hiked Lenawee again this week. Challenging trail but so worth the effort. Saw three other hikers while on the mountain.

Boring trail. Might be good for mountain biking, but it's not very good as a hiking trail. It's very open and you can hear the noise from the highway.

Slushy snow pack and mud made the hike slightly harder than it would on a dry spring/early summer day.

Pretty easy. Scenic view of the reservoir. No shelter and ideal for mountain biking.

Very quiet trail, great views.

Truly a 5 star trail. On a Wednesday afternoon in September, I literally had the entire trail to myself. One thing to note, I clocked it at more like 9 miles than the 7 miles listed.

Bloody boring hike
Alltrails please take this hike down. Paths not as shown on map, but that is not the biggest issue. After 0.5Ml of path you join landfill rd, hike right by the landfill, past the gun range and around the huge power transformer farm. Beyond that the hiking paths have been converted into 4wheel and enduro bike trails, and thus the hiking is boring and peppered by diving into the bushes to avoid getting swiped.
In all the trail is longer than shown, and some of the paths have been abandoned making it difficult to do the loop as shown.
In summary this is probably one of the most boring, ugly hikes i have ever done, and i woul dnot recommend it in summer at all

This trail starts off very steep but tapers off a bit when you reach treeline. Didn't make it to the saddle, will have to go back to do that.

Trail begins off Peru Creek and travels through pines and aspens emerging on the shoulders of Lenawee Mountain. Above the tree line, the trail rises to the rock formations from which beautiful views of historic Montezuma, Dillon Lake and surrounding ranges can be viewed.

very good trail for MTN biking, beautiful hike as well, just be cognizant of turns at the beginning miles or u will end up hiking up a service Rd...but beautiful nonetheless

Steep at first. Leave in morning. Hike is 9 miles round trip if you go to top and cross over to A-basin. Saw mtn goats too.

We could only go a few miles in due to heavy snow covering the trail, past our knees in some areas. By there were incredible views and can't wait to go back later in the summer. The gate was also closed at he parking area off the road, so we had to walk 1.25 miles to the trail head. We did, however, see a moose grazing on our way back to the car.

This trail is a heavily used mountain biking trail when there isn't snow. Very poor trail for hiking unless you like getting run over.

Great for an easy day, would be great for beginning mountain bikers also!

Oh the undulations! Nice for a mellow trail run. Totally dry minus one snow patch about 4 feet long. Great for spring running when everything is covered in snow and the landfill views/smells at the eastern terminus are to die for.

Nice easy trail to get a hiking vacation started. Runs parallel to Route 6 so you can hear a lot of road noise which isn't great but the views are nice.

Great tail for a first-timer! Well-packed snow made for a very obvious trail. If we'd felt more adventurous we could have headed up the hill, but we opted to keep it fairly easy this time. Puppy enjoyed it tremendously, too!

rating this trail as easy borders on criminal. long steep climb. steep pitches over roots and loose rocks. numerous unmarked intersections. steep tight switchbacks. not 5 stars either since half the ride is on roads.

Great groomed road for snowshoeing, gradual uphill the first 2 miles so it was a good workout! Woodsy hike on the other side of the river so a great place all around!
