Loved this trail! Had an overall good experience here!

A great little walk around the Denver Zoo, Natural History museum, and the iconic City Park. Get out and enjoy it.

Cloudy and cool. 41° - 52°

Awesome hike! Kind of busy but great exercise and distance.

Scenic hike. However you can see and hear busy roads for the majority of it. Many mountain bikes. The trail is narrow so be prepared to stop and step off the trail a lot.

There are many trails, so better to have a map. I made a youtube. Please check it out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrdnuf8qTPg

Great casual trail. One of my favorite places to run a 5k in the area. I also worked at and met my wife at Casa Bonita many years ago!

Was a really nice trail to take my kids on, however the giant stairs weren’t so fun with a stroller. Otherwise this small lake was beautiful

Very easy, very flat. Awesome views of the lakes and lots of areas to stop and relax. Highly populated and many dogs.

I decided the catch the Green Mountain Trail by parking at the Iron Springs Forsberg Park. There’s a tunnel that goes under Alameda Parkway from the park to the trail. Conditions overall were good. In light of recent rains, there were a few muddy spots. Rained off and on throughout my hike. Green Mountain Trail is moderate going up to the top. The Rooney Valley Trail has recently been updated and has many switchbacks and steep declines/inclines (depends if you’re going up or down) The mountain bikers do come down that trail fast so listen for them. Disregard my times - I like to stop to take in the views.

Pleasantly surprised by this trail! We wanted an easy hike close to Denver and this fit the bill perfectly. As of 5/10/19, the trail was very muddy. The snow sprinkled on the mountain (hills?) was beautiful and the cloudy overhead with misty air made the hike calm and peaceful. Like I said, pleasantly surprised. This hike wasn't technically challenging, unless you include the mud. It kept sticking to our shoes adding weight, and was very slippery in some areas. Fun easy hike that I would do again. Trailhead accessible from a paved road via 2WD. Paved parking lot. Port-a-potty restroom.

Great trail. Nice view of Denver and mountains

Great trail hike (5/5/2019) with amazing views. Trails are dry. Clear day with amazing views of Denver, Morrison, Golden, and mountains. Steep start but levels out at the top. Not a lot of people on Sunday afternoon.

Easy Sunday stroll with views of the city the entire time. I wouldn’t call this moderate; it was a tiny bit steep at first then very easy the rest of the way. There’s no shade so bring lots of water for your pup! Saw a herd of elk :) Tons of mountain bikers.

Beautiful view of front range. Lots of people! 6.50 miles.

Great scenery! Nice trail. Out in the open; we lucked out with cloud coverage most of the hike. Some bike traffic but good visibility of what’s coming. Think the trail has changed as our hike didn’t follow the path. Lots of switchbacks instead of going straight up. (Forgot to end the trail before driving off. Hiked 6.7 miles 2:31:37)

Just a basic park

Nice park with several walking paths. The red line on the map follows the dirt trails and we missed the entrance to it on the west side. It's a great trail in the city.

Not really good for dogs. To many bikers. But beautiful hike.

Great trail. Green Mountain has so many options without having to go outside of town. Always a lot of bikers, so be on the look out.

Great place to walk your dog. Perfect distance around the lake for an after work stroll.

Love wash park. It's vibrant day uses and 3 different lakes make for a gorgeous backdrop in the heart of denver
