Lots of dogs but everyone was responsible and respectful. Completely plowed the day after a big storm.

Lovely morning hike, snow looked pretty. Was not icy just snow and some parts slushy.

Great trail. Full of snow, but that covered up the mud so that was nice. Awesome views for not a lot of mileage

Very busy trail.

Easy trail. Lots of bikers, only a little bit of mud. Good candidate for an afternoon stroll.

Great network of trails around water. Easy to hike away from others and great open spaces for fetch and long walks.

Good for work runs. Less stop and go than street running and usually cleared after snow

Great day today here. High of 68 with moderate wind.

A little suburban breathing room. Fine option if you live nearby.

If your a dog lover you’ll love this trail! I enjoyed exploring with so many doggies!

It was a sweet trail with some bits of ice on the path. Can wind through many smaller paths and get lost. A nice creek and a few frozen tiny ponds. It was a nice find amidst the city.

Concrete path popular for recreation. Short underpass closure at Monaco Street that can be bypassed at street level using a crosswalk.

Hiked this with a group, only went to end of High Plains Trail. Mostly dry, some muddy/icy patches and one place where a snow bank is covering the trail. I found the hike a bit boring (the people were cool though!). The trails runs along the highway, which I did not like.

If you can catch a sunset here, the reflections and geese flying in are awesome! I’ve heard small dogs should watch for coyotes at night. Horses do come through some of the trails too. Great park!

A lovely little stroll through a small piece of public space. A great break if you live or work in the neighborhood, and an excellent use of a small strip of elevation in town. Nice views of the front range! Ps I forgot to record so only caught half of the walk, but gettin lost here would be Darwinism at its finest ; )

Update: The trail grade on Rooney Trail has been changed with more switchbacks and extending the length of the trail (around 6.7 miles). The first mile and a half currently has ice or snow patches where traction is helpful. These sections are relatively short but treacherous. Weekends are busy with diversity of users: hikers, bikers, runners. If you are seeking solitude the first half of this route provides that but the second half is a busy part of the park. Prepare to share.
