Personal trail

I drive by around this area almost everyday for work and was curious about this trail but known as lots of homeless people. Since the 4 start trail, I wanted to try. I have a mix feeling about this trail as this was a cool city paved trail with a ton of runners and bikers but it smells gross under the bridges and some parts were not very present view. Parking will be a street parking and find good time and area to find a spot to park since where it starts is a residential area. 05/25/202 #22

Trail was nice but the bugs were not! It was like swimming through a sea of gnats shedding their skin. Don’t go at sunset unless you want to find out what that’s like. Pretty Mountain View’s overall and a nice big trail. The bugs definitely won’t be forgotten though!

I really enjoyed this trail actually!

Easy trail with nice scenery by a little river. Most of the trail is paved but there are parts of it that go down by the river which aren't well marked.

Lots of ducks floatin’ down stream. Most of the trail was paved. Seemed the trail wanted to take me behind some businesses; seemed sketch so I turned around back. Cool little openings along stream to let pup cool off.not my favorite but enjoyable. Probably won’t be back anytime soon

Nothing too fancy here. Follows historic irrigation ditch from park to park. Starts along a spacious green corridor with the broken overgrown wildness along the ditch on one side and more ordered lawn like space on the other. A few historical signs talk about the development of the area in the early 1900s. After crossing Colorado, the trail is closely hemmed by well-kept homes with modest yards. The far end winds between some recreation centers and ends at a 7-11 if you need a sports drink or bathroom break.

WARNING: a sizable portion of this trail is currently closed. A run for the senses. The route passes by cemeteries, power plants, waste treatment centers, refineries and commercial developments of all kinds. Trash and urbanism dominate the sliver of wildness along the South Platte River and Sand Creek. There is a closure associated with the I-70 construction project east of The Quebec underpass the reroutes the middle fifth of the route that will likely remains closed for a long time yet to come. All concrete. Higher rating for cycling.

Nice city trail, I like how some of it is divided one side for walking, and one side for biking. Know where you are at, several drifters about.

Pretty nice trail through the city, mainly in parks but sometimes through neighborhoods. I enjoyed seeing how parks throughout the city connect and discovering side trails along the way.

Busy with people but nice bike trail

Great ride. Road up from DU to Cherry Creek and took that up not South Platte River Trail. Total of 37.5 miles - woot woot! Great ride and the only part that was crowded was down near LODO.

Excellent trail

Not as busy as Sloan Lake so better for social distancing!

Bikes from DU down to Cherry Creek trail, up to the rapids and down South Platte River trail. It's a great ride that last about 1-1.5 hours. The Cherry Creek trail side tends to be a little crowded as you get into LODO but clears up quickly when you reach South Platte trail. A great workout - I ride this 15 mile route 4-5 times per week.

Clean, well maintained suburban trail, winding through park areas and between backyards. Very pleasant!

It’s an urban bike trail, mostly paved in asphalt that follows along the Platt River in Denver. It runs fairly parallel to I-25 so you’ll experience the sounds and views of the freeway and the industrial businesses for good portions of the trail, but also along the way are small green spaces from time to time. It’s nice and long and fairly flat with no traffic or cross streets if you’re looking for a trail in the city to get some distance in. I went during the day by myself. I would not recommend alone after dark as there are lots of overpasses, bridges, and deserted industrial yards along the way.

lots of gnats. the back end of the loop is behind businesses, which was a little shady.

Small paved trail around water. Flat terrain. Great for a quick run or short walk with scenic views of the from range. Busy trail with people
