Great easy hike with decent scenery in the west side. Courteous humans.

The wildflowers were beautiful. Wasn’t too busy. Good first hike of the year.

Good if you’re looking for something easy close to Denver, but not if you’re trying to feel isolated in the wilderness. Lots of mountain biking. Doesn’t speak well of all the hikers that we saw more runners and bikers wearing face masks than those walking. Appreciate those who did. It shows you care about those around you. The opposite holds true for the vast majority who choose not to on such a narrow and crowded trail...

great views at the top of this hike! also pretty windy up there, which felt great after making the trek up. there were quite a few bikers, and the trail itself is pretty narrow at certain points, so be alert of your surroundings. nice big parking lot with 2 port-o-potty’s available

Came here today around 7:30am for the 1st time and parked in the lot near Smith Rd & Havana. From the trailhead,I took a right (West bound). It was a concrete path with detours and crosswalks along Central Park Blvd. Then I crossed over and ran along side the Northfield Mall. There I saw Praire dogs and a found a dirt path. Next time, I will go left (East bound) from the trailhead because it is a dirt path that direction and more ideal for running.

Arrived on 5/20/20 (Wednesday) at about 2pm. Parking lot was about 60% full. Sunny (82F), clear skies and 30-40mph sustained winds the higher you go with gusts even higher than that. Slightly rocky at parts. Great views of the mountains, Denver and other smaller cities. There were 10+ hikers out there but didn’t feel crowded at all. It’s a Dog and kid friendly trail if you have both of them on leash. The trail can get narrow and if you fall, it’s a long way down. I really enjoyed this hike. Finished the hike under the estimated time.

Easy trail with nice scenery by a little river. Most of the trail is paved but there are parts of it that go down by the river which aren't well marked.

Lots of ducks floatin’ down stream. Most of the trail was paved. Seemed the trail wanted to take me behind some businesses; seemed sketch so I turned around back. Cool little openings along stream to let pup cool off.not my favorite but enjoyable. Probably won’t be back anytime soon

Concrete path, both pedestrian and bike friendly. Nice walk through Downtown along the water!

Pretty bike crowded but wasn't hard to let them pass, lots of ways to go up, down, or around and it makes it feel longer and more interesting than taking one big loop but I always knew I'd find my way back since it is one.

love this loop as there are typically fewer people, as was the case this day. with babe on back and pup at side. babe struggled toward the end, was a bit too long for her.

with babe on back and pup by side. fairly busy, and not everyone wearing masks when passing.

Dry conditions

Great for trail running!

If you live close to the city of Denver, this is a nice trail. It offers a city view from up high and views of snow covered mountains in the distance. All with less than a 20 minute drive! As others have said, the incline at the start makes this moderate. The rest of it will be easy. I did this one in an hour and a half (walking) and that's with taking pictures and stopping for Pokémon at times. I got here at 8am and found spots to park, but when leaving the lot was full. Bring a coat if you go early, it was windy and a little cold, even with the sun shining. Hat/hoodie would be good to pack also.

If you don’t have a lot of time but want to get a quick hike in - recommended this one, a quick 1.8 miles hike.

Awesome trail. Had some really amazing views.
