Excellent inner city graveled walk/run option.

Good for a jog as well as guaranteeing seeing animals. The abundance of wildlife makes the 1 mile track interesting

Just the facts... If you are concerned for your physical and emotional health - avoid Crown Hill Lake Park.
It is currecntly disgusting and as a visitor for over ten years I don't forsee it improving.

Yes, the sunset views are great but being in the park subjects you sometimes to violent and barking dogs that some pet owners can't or won't control. Only a few pet owners are responsonible for destroying this park by allowing their dogs to pee and poop anywhere.

The sidewalks are now riddled with poop from both dogs and geese and Jefferson County doesn't have the budget or management skills the keep the pathways clear or to penalize the few that ignore the law and park rules. When you consider that hundreds of dogs visit this park routinely, the disrepectful add up. It's not a people park anymore, it's a dog waste park - yesterday I witnessed a man dumping the dog poop he brought from outside the park. Not only do you get poop on your shoes and drop trace amounts into your car and home, you now smell it when walking past every trash can.

Some horse owners contribute too by leaving a mountain of horse pie on the cement walkways. Also, more and more people are smoking marijuana in the park even though there are posted signs prohibiting it. What a violent risk this poses and an overall dissappointment.

Good easy city walk

The lakes here are pretty and there are plenty of fowl. The surrounding traffic is quite noisy though and it is hard to escape the feeling of cars being on top of you.

An easy loop with a near by dog park. Beautiful Mountain View’s especially at sunset.

My favorite place to take a long walk during the summer. There is a small fishing pond that would be great for kids. Nice to choose from an inner or outer trail depending on how much time I have. Stroller, wheelchair, and definitely kid friendly park

Great for an easy walk after work or early morning. Stroller friendly

2.5 miles around wash park. People with dogs are not considerate at this park. Nonetheless pretty area to get a quick run in.

Nice chill gravel trail. Always nice scenery to look at.

Nice area for walking. But the trails closer to the outer perimeter of the area are best for avoiding the crowds (kids, bikes, rollerbladers) who use the interior cement sidewalk.

Nice trail. Lots of trees and shrubs.

Nice place to jog. Not too busy. Paved and natural trails with plenty different loops.

It was pretty disappointed day to begin with.. I was planning on going to a 6 mile hike but something came up and I had to change my plan. Then I still wanted to enjoy the nice 65 degree weather, so looked up near by trail and came to this one. It was short trail, so I didn't want to run but to walk and enjoy the sound of birds and water. Very nice and quiet trail. Glad I checked this one off from my list with a satisfaction.

favorite part of my run in the neighborhood. It’s about a mile. Lots of hills near by to add to your run too :)

Nice day to take a walk with the kids.

Trail was open and a pleasant walk. Surrounded by the expanding city but lots of prairie dogs, rabbits, geese, ducks, kingfishers, and many other kinds of birds. Good stroll for little kids.

It’s a nice trail to take your dog on a walk around a lake thats paved.

Nice and easy run, pretty views of the mountains.

This trail is not a hiking or mountain biking trail. It is a city park trail that is mostly paved and well-maintained. Plenty of trees. It is great for bikes and roller blades with some really nice bike lanes separated from the walking lanes. It is a great place to run or walk, to ride bikes within city limits. There are two small lakes (looks like maybe paddle boarding is an option) and a fishing pond. Plenty of grass for volleyball or other activities, and some tennis courts. If you are expecting mountain/hiking this is not what you'll want. But if you want a great area within the city to get some exercise, it is a good choice.

Beautiful views. Minus one for there being way too many black flies during this time of year.

Great to walk, jog, or sit in the park by the water.

Super close for people in the Berkeley hood.

Nice sunrise view but it's an ok park to run.

No climbing here, its mostly flat except for a decent from the parking area where you can either take stairs or a gradual decline ramp down. There are nice views of the wetlands but when we visited, maybe a 1/4 of the loop was closed. Most of the loop is unshaded and you can see houses nearby. A little unsettling fact is it appears to be next to a jail. You can see some of the fence while on the trail. Maybe that's why it felt abandoned. There were also tons of traps on the hillside for meerkats so that ruined some of the nature feel to it. We sat and watched the little guys hoping they would stay away from the traps. I understand they're a pest and all but it just seemed strange to be trapping them in a park? Overall, this spot isn't ideal if you want to get some quality nature time.

Great wild nature in the city. I run the outside loop and then around the lake. The outside loop is awesome and really enjoyable in the long grasses and cottonwood trees. The park has great resources and maps.
