Crested Butte, Colorado Map

Easy 2 hour trail that takes you on a tour of the beautiful Crested Butte valley. Pretty flat, but lots of pretty things to look at.

I did this hike in early June and even without the wildflowers it was stunning. Be prepared for multiple water crossings.

This is a beautiful place full of wild flowers, open rolling plains and hills surrounded by mountains. It was a sunny day in June with a constant refreshing breeze. We did the strenuous hike to the peak and were a bit let down just because there wasn’t a great view. However, the views are spectacular the whole way down the loop trial. This trail is more about the journey as opposed to a grand finale reward. The path seemed geared towards bikers for the most part but is still easily hiked

My most favorite MTB trail I have every done!!!! Views to die for, literally if you don't keep your eyes on the trail. One tricky spot where the trail kind of drops off and we had to carry and jump our bikes over. The end of the trail was flooded and had to carry our bikes through knee high water. Epic climb and Epic descent! Well worth the effort! A must do!

Incredible views! The snow is gone. It doesn't get much better!

The name of the trail alone describes my favorite trail in Crested Butte. The waterfalls, the sound of the stream, the views, the wildflowers...brilliant!

Brilliant wildflowers!

Beautiful trail, well maintained, clearly marked. Mostly shaded, plenty open mountain meadows to spot flowers, and what a beautiful lake at the end.

Did Oh Be Joyful on June 7. 13.5 round trip, 61/2 hours. Tried to make it to Blue Lake but snowed under. The trail about 750 yards to Blue Lake is snow packed. We were so close. Beautiful hike with lots of waterfalls!! Will do this again when snow melts. Recommend this hike, awesome!

Moderate hike with great views at the top. Park in town near third street and walk from there (approximately 1/2 mile walk to trail head). Cannot park at the trail head because it is private property, all the more reason to grab a beer in town as you walk back to your car. Cutthroat abound in Green Lake, so hike with a fishing pole if you'd like. Very dog friendly with numerous water spots for your dog to cool off along the way.

Wow! We went in May and some of the rivers were very tough to cross (forcing others to turn around or go of course) and there was too much snow at the end to finish... but how amazing to hike and camp totally on our own! Didn’t see another human soul the entire hike down on day 2. Saw some deer and marmots. Really enjoyed the drive in Gothic Road from Crested Butte as well. We will be back for the Aspens changing!

initial climb is ridiculous! The rest of the hike was nice. not much to enjoy walking back on the roadway. But no way that we would down the vertical section.

great trail And the falls are beautiful.

Amazing hike with spectacular views. This was a great one for the start of summer season. It is fairly long but not steep. The last mile ish is where you gain a majority of the elevation. Note that at this time, the last mile is almost all snow. We were still fine in just hiking boots but it is starting the melt. The lake was almost all frozen but insanely beautiful

Great longer hike with beautiful views. Longer than 8 miles. The last 2 miles are really exposed and sometimes the wind can really kick up. Mountain bikers were friendly. Our dog loved the trail.

Up one way down the other. Well established trail, lots of bikes on it though if that’s a thing for you. Not the greatest view at the summit but the views in the middle are quite amazing.

By no means is this an off road trail. This is a scenic drive.

Closed due to heavy run off. No parking at trail head

Don't waste your time. Out in the open and exposed to the sun and heat. Views are no better than those while driving the road. Could be useful for someone acclimating to the altitude. May be pretty in autumn when the leaves change, but there are better hikes for that.

Wanted to jump in lake it was beautiful

This trial is remarkable! I have been up here 4 times over the past decade and each time is better than the last. The trial doesn’t start off a highway, you need a good 4X4 vehicle to head up to the trial head. I highly recommend this trail to anyone seeking secluded Colorado beauty.

Cute little place!! Awesome mini waterfall to the right after you cross the river where you can slide off a naturally made rock slide and jump off a little cluster of rocks!

Hiked on 11/04/17. No parking where All Trails begins. Have to park at the Brush Creek TH 1 mile prior. So add 2 miles RT. Some snow, rain, fog, and a little sun made for a very pleasant November walk in the woods. Never saw another person! Didn't know there'd be splendid views of Teocali, as it was too foggy in the morning to realize it should be visible from the parking lot. But near the end of the big descent, the weather cleared and the peak showed itself. Magical! Would recommend this hike in the winter, but wouldn't waste a Summer day in CB doing measly little this one. Besides, in the Summer it's probably crowded by bikers.

went to the falls then kept going to the end.

Beautiful drive!

Nice short hike.

Awesome trail with incredible views! Hiked to Judd Falls and then continued on the Copper Creek Trail for a total of six miles out and back. Great hike! Lots of "cow pies" and a couple instances where I had to go around some cattle but no big deal.

Did this trail today from the Elkton side all the way up to Gothic Mountain Summit...Beautiful views, but not for the faint of heart. About halfway to Gothic Mountain, the trail is VERY steep. And the second false summit of Gothic Mountain is basically scrambling over loose rocks, so come prepared. The views are definitely worth it!
Also there are some very deep ruts on Washington Gulch road, you will need a high clearance vehicle for. I took my X5 and made it just fine, although there were some intense parts.
