Fun trail! Dog friendly. It's cut off about 1 mile for restoration. Currently pretty icy so pack the micro spikes.

Most of the trail past 7 bridges is clear of ice & snow. Seven bridges trail has a ton of ice & is recommend using micro spikes until spring.
When you get to Jones Park there will be a map & a trail intersecting with 622. The way up Kineo Mountain is to go away from the sign & up the hill almost parallel with a fallen dead tree. The trail is easy to spot once you get about 100 ft from the sign there.

enjoy this trail and so does my dog

An excellent hike for casual hikers with beautiful views

BEST TRAIL EVER.

Loved this trail. Steady, fairly easy climb up to the top where you have some primo views. The views continue on the back half of the loop on the way down. Did on Feb 10 and put on Yax Trax just to be safe because there was a decent amount of ice.

Very steep, hard to keep track of where the trail is sometimes. Totally worth it. Great views. But extremely strong wind up top.

Moderate climb to top. Great views. Easy return to car. Nice combo of easy walk with some scrambling near the top. We took our time and smacked on top and were back to the car in well under two hours.

I did not get to reach the top but it was a great hike in was half way great scenery lots of slush and ice in most of the trails but it was worth it I am definitely going back to finish

There is ice covering the trail, would recommend micro spikes. Windy day today!

Rating this Trail five stars for interesting and beautiful views along with difficulty and sliding in ice. Would definitely recommend trekking poles and spikes during winter months. The trail can be done without them however extremely dangerous as my spikes broke halfway through the trail and I slipped a lot coming down. Blessed that I didn't get hurt. Couple of spots where it's hard to see the direction of the trail pictures included.

I hiked Kineo as a trip to get used to my backpack for Philmont and it was great! I recommend going in the springtime because you might get a chance to see the snow on Seven Bridges. It’s gorgeous. I’m thankful for the wood arrow at the Kineo trailhead to help show the way. A bit rocky in places.

This was my first time in the Blodgett area. I wasn’t sure how long it would take me given the ice on the trail so I turned back at the base of the peak. Hoping to come back soon to finish it off! Dogs are allowed on leash.

WARNING while on this hike this afternoon (I was only away from my car for about an hour) my car was parked right at the trail head, my passenger window was completely smashed and I had a bunch of items stolen out of my car. Police stated this has been happening a lot lately. The hike was gorgeous but obviously not worth this.

I summited Kineo today. Microspikes were necessary to make it up, as it was very icey. I wouldn't have made it up Seven Bridges without spikes. I lost the trail on the way up and ended up postholing and scrambling the small boulder field to the right of the trail. The drifts were few and far between but knee deep in some spots. I followed the trail back down. Gorgeous day sauntering in the mountains.

Attempted this again on 2-10-19. Snow was a bit over 2 ft deep after about 4 miles into the trail. Most of this snow was packed down until you cross the fenced area. After that it looked like most people had turned back around.
There were many extremely icy areas, even close to the trailhead, so micro spikes are recommended.
When you get about 5-6 miles in, where you cross through the fence, take a right to get to Mt Rosa. You will eventually cross over a forest road before you start to hike up Mt Rosa. The last 1/2 mile is very difficult.

A nice walk with great views

Nice easy trail. Busy place but lots of room.

I would recommend this trail as as starter for small kids and it's dog friendly.

This trail is LEGIT. What I thought would be a normal hike with my dog turned out to be an adventure. It is pretty long and strenuous at times, but the views and wilderness isolation are incredible. There are some spots that get VERY slick and steep, so go slow and be careful.

The trail was amazing. We started at the trail head and went right. Some parts were icy and snowing but we had spikes so no issue there. The views are super cool, and the trail is long enough to make you feel like you have accomplish something. From where we started and back to our car the app clocked 6 miles.

awesome trail. you can can climb to to the top in less than ten minutes if you want
