HikingGreat!No shade

Major tourist trap. Get there as early as possible- the park itself opens at 5am. I'd want to be in and out of the park before 9am. All of the paths in the park are paved, the unpaved paths around the perimeter of the park aren't paved and are less crowded, but don't get you up close to the rocks. Get in, take some pics, and get out fast. Red Rock Canyon Open Space has similar formations and is way more fun and WAY less crowded.

Horrible.. not sure why it’s even called a trail. Just a tourist attraction, take some pics and head back out. Overcrowded, concrete path, poorly marked (the path splits a million times), and parking a zoo - thumbs down.

A really lovely hike, though we imagined that it’s probably more heavily trafficked when there isn’t rain. Additionally, we relied heavily on the map to tell us where we were going as the trails are marked out clearly.

While the trail network seems extensive, individual trails are not well marked and I found myself checking the map at every intersection. There are a couple of miles of good trail, but a lot of hard packed dirt road and very little shade for several miles. Good views.

Very beautiful, not too crowded. The pond, wildlife, and wildflowers were just what I was looking for in a hike today!

Very beautiful trails with variety of terrains and different views from every direction!! We didn’t complete the trail because a storm was overhead. I highly recommend this area!!

The trail was great! Our day hike turned into a night hike and it got pretty scary even with flashlights but I have to mention that without the flashlights it was a pretty nice sight with the moon being full and all. Overall it was pretty cool

I was very happy that I found this loop this morning. I’d say about half of the trail is shaded. The terrain was easy as most of it was a wide well kept trail. Lots of avenues for different skill levels to venture off, trail is well marked.

Garden of the Gods is a must see if your visiting from out of town, but because it’s such a tourist hot spot it’s always crowded and hard to find parking spots. This exact trail isn’t marked so following it precisely is a bit hard, but once you’re there you can really just walk around wherever and explore. If you have a stroller, stay inside the big main looped road that encompasses the largest rocks because those trails are mostly paved or easy gravel. This trail map starts you on paved sidewalk but when you get to a street crossing, the rest is rocky and not stroller friendly.

Ran the perimeter and overlook trail. Had to stop and check the map to make sure I was turning the right way just about every turn.

Well maintained, beautiful path that is accessible for people of all ages and fitness levels. Really pretty views of the rocks throughout and definitely worth a trip if you have the time. I've been in the summer and winter, and it was gorgeous both times of the year. It can get super crowded though, so try and go on a weekday or early in the morning if you are able.

Enjoyed this hike, but went off trail quite a few times. I’m a beginner and had some trouble navigating a few times. Quite a few people on the trail from 8-10am, but a few stretches of solitude. Most of the trail is not shaded. Some nice breezes at times. Saw a deer & a few pretty birds. Fairly suitable for beginners, as there are no major inclines & the majority of the trail is wide & clear. Several beautiful outlooks where you can see Garden of the Gods in the distance. This was a good balance of challenge for a beginner.

Nice walk close to town. Start off on a fire access road and end in the woods on a sweet little trail.
