Gorgeous walking/biking trail for families. Old Littleton charm.

Wonderful, easy ride! I didn't know this beautiful oasis existed. There are prettier places, but I haven't found any better this close to the suburbs. It is gorgeous with creeks, ponds, vegetation and wildlife.

This is one of my favorite trails for bicycling. It includes portions of the Highline Canal Trail, the Lee Gulch Trail, the Platte River Trail, and the Little Dry Creek Trail. Easiest done clockwise. Lee Gulch is especially scenic when the spring flowers are out. The trail is in good condition the entire length, much of it paved, the rest fine gravel. Numerous creeks and lakes along the way.

This was a nice little loop along established trails (High Line is crushed gravel, link trail is paved) with plenty of big homes to ogle along the way. While there were many cyclists, joggers, and other walkers out today, the trail was easily wide enough to accommodate passing and has several nice spots to rest if needed. As we returned to the trailhead parking, we found it completely full for an event (dozens of cars squeezed together in the unmarked center of the lot), so you may want to have a backup in mind...maybe by the rec center or ice arena?
