Way fun trail. A little more on the rocky side at the north tip in several areas, but hey we live in the rockies, run higher air pressure guys. Plenty of views with sitting areas. Open spaces on the tops of ridges, totally awesome if you want to bring the kids and blow their minds. Saw several elk in several places. Some areas on the south east side through the pines were ridiculous radical with switch backs and lip hits so you can throw mean airs and smash turns in between. Adrenaline was maxing in several areas. Ridge sections were way skinny in several ridge areas, like almost 12 inches, so be careful when your Mad Maxxing through sections and your on the gas, you might take a digger off the ledge. This made for a Moab like pucker factor right here in castle rock which I just find amazing. This trail system is totally sick and I will return and ride it often. There is mostly mountain bike traffic, lots of it. After today I might need treatment for addiction. #SurfTheEarth

very easy walk with beautiful views in some locations.

So so trail. Lots of trash and dog waste. We also saw people carving their names into the rock at the top. Good for a quick hike/trail run. Sad that it’s so trashed. Leave no trace people!! This could be a great trail if people cared a bit more about their environment.

easy, beautiful but not well marked.

Great loop with enough elevation changes and scenery to keep things interesting, perfect for a near by hike, bike, or trail run.

Stumbled on this spot today and am so glad I did. Easy walk to get there for me from my apartment and my pups loved it. A really nice space right in the middle of town. Great views - can’t wait to see it in the spring and summer!

Just finished the hike and made it up to the top with little difficulty today. We started at the trailhead on the east side and connected to the dirt road. Went slow on the climb area as there is snow that's currently in the shaded area. The top of the rock is still without snow except for the far south side.

Great little local spot

Short, but steep. I didn’t climb the rock but my boyfriend did. He said it wasn’t too bad of a climb but you definitely need to be careful!

I love living close by so I can do this hike any time! You can make this as easy or as hard as you want by doing it multiple times and even running up the steps (if you’re used to the altitude)

Quick up and down. Nice trail.

If you are in Castle Rock for any amount of time, this is one of the best views in the city! Easy hike, and worth your time.

easy terrain but very unclear trail around the halfway point, I could not find the correct path and ended up backtracking

Our daily hike, I feel so fortunate to live here.

This is a nice and easy trail. I only have two complaints: there are many splits in the path. For a first time walker on this path, I accidentally cut my walk short. And two, the path is only wide enough for one person, and I’d like to bring someone with me to see these sights

I’m new to hiking, but this is a nice one. There are varying levels of terrain and steepness, and the view from the top of the rock is absolutely incredible. I HIGHLY recommend a climb to the top!

From where you park following the paved path down and at the fork go Left to get to the trailhead. Great hike with lots of boulders, greenery, shade. Once you get through the trees and come to the open space look for pink tag markets on trees and follow the cairns to keep in the path. Thank goodness someone marked or it would be hard to follow. Makes it fun looking for the markers. This is a good hike for kids too.

It is a quick walk from home. Keep an eye on your path, some parts are tricky to find on the way back. There are some rock markers to follow. The views are wonderful. Add on Chucks loop for more hike distance.

Easy hike for all the fam. Beautiful views!

Great network of trails right in town! You could really put down a lot of miles if you wanted to. Deducted a star only because from a hiking stand point, we had to be on guard for mountain bikers. Speaking of which, I will certainly ride these trails myself in the near future!

This was my first trail I did when I moved out here in Colorado. It’s a short hike but had a lot of incline so it’s easy but tough. I recommend this hike for beginners and also if you’re not very used to the elevation change. Great trail for dogs. Beautiful sight of Castle Rock.

The one good thing about this trail is that it’s paved so my kids were able to ride their bikes. But the second half of the path goes along busy roads, which isn’t very peaceful. We won’t be doing this trail again. I feel like we could’ve taken a quieter walk through our neighborhood.

This hike is basically a novelty. It is neither peaceful nor beautiful (except geologically, of course) because of its urban location. Nevertheless, it is neat, and I was excited when I discovered you can scramble to the top of the rock.

Chuck’s Loop is a beautiful and easy hike, but there are many places (5+) where the trail is not clearly marked and you can get lost. My husband went before me and took me back yesterday and we still got lost! Nice terrain and scenery, though.

Really nice easy ride. Happy people and Festival Park is beautiful!

This trial was a lot more difficult to navigate than I has expected so it recommend downloading the map! Will do next time. Very nice single track, not technical. There are a lot of up and down sections so it was a good workout!

Loved it! Beautiful views fun flowy single track. Some small fun rocky sections, one semi-hard one (w/option to bypass). I’m a flat pedaler/more of a downhill guy, so some of the climbs were killing me (lung-wise) and a little technical. Did the full outer 9miles, finished after dark. Can’t wait to do it again!!

Great little hidden gem in the middle of town, woody enough to almost forget you are in town! Easy enough for the kids to do on their own. There are also a few benches along the trail if a little sit down is needed.

Went yesterday with my pup. Easy hike and pretty views. Parking and drive in are easy and paved. A few places for the pup to get in the cool water.
